    Ours too. I loved that programme, which is weird, because essentially it was just a consumer rights show, but it had something going for it that was pure magic.

    The irony was that Esther was too ill to go to the clinic in Switzerland which she had already paid for according to her daughter Rebecca.
    Because she wanted to see the "assisted dying bill" come to frution in the UK,  she never took the one way ticket to Switzerland as Esther was too poorly in the end as the lung Cancer did it's evil work.

    Esther achieved so much in her life and her personality was just right for TV at a time when 20 million could be reached at the peak of 'That's life'.

    From the sublime to the ridiculous or from Child line to a talking dog.

    RIP Esther Rantzen.
