[cite]Posted By: MrOneLung[/cite]Cant be global warming - doesnt exist.

Those glaciers must be melting by themselves then.

As they have done many times before over thousands and thousands of years.

Surely the distinction is that that they are melting faster than expected?

Possibly. But then no one was around last time to measure it.

True, except for the ice core data which irrefutably indicates... ah f*** it, what's the use.
  • Loads of big fuck off spiders down my way, running riot in the house at the moment. Luckily my 1 year old is an expert at Bobber (spider) hunting and is fast approaching a century of kills. Though he does run away like a girl if one escapes his clutches, I think he is paying too much attention to mummy and will soon run away if a wasp comes within a 100 yards.

[cite]Posted By: PeakieRocket[/cite]It's Global Warming I tell ya and all the animals have gone mad. This summer I've had at least 5 pigeons fly straight into my living room windows!

I wish a bird would fly into my bedroom ........

A "Turtle" is NOT a bird.
    ;-)
  • Wife went ape the other night when a daddy long legs flew into the bathroom. You should have heard the noise! They are a very important part of the food chain for sparrows and one of the reasons sparrows are now so scarce in our area is because the baby sparrows are not getting their important daddy long legs nutrition.
  • Haven't seen the 2010 vintage yet, but can't be long till they're buzzing round the light bulbs.......
  • just saw one in the kitchen about 20 mins ago, it was bloody huge
  • Cat annihilated one earlier this evening. Love watching him kill them. Just wish he'd stick to them, rather than mice/rats/squirrels/pigeons/herons - they make far less mess
  • Herons? What is it, a tiger?

What is going on with Mother Nature? It's not even Royal Ascot and I've just squashed my first DLL tonight.

  • Same had 3 in conservatory. Horrible things.
  • Had 2 over a week ago but not had 1 or seen 1 since
  • why did you kill it, just because you could or just because you're an........... put your own conclusion?
  • I killed them because i like them on toast
  • I hate being in a room with one - they're so unpredictable and dive bomb you.
  • I loved throwing them in spider's webs. As à kid of course....
  • My little brother used to be shit scared of them. I found a huge daddy long legs in the living room once when he was in the bath. I carefully enclosed the live insect in a hastily built lego boat which I then took into the bathroom as a brotherly gift for him to play with.

It was only a matter of time before my brother became bored of the boat I gave him and decided to dismantle it in order to build a new design - oh what joy!!
  • Only seen one so far this season. Our climate is totally out of cync now.
  • Used to throw them in spiders webbs. Fantastic times.

Was thinking that the other night in a particularly quiet moment. Funny how as a kid (and adult actually) I have no problem picking one of those up and chucking it outside but would in no way consider doing likewise with a spider...

    Curious?
