Listening to the iPod and it came up with three great " road" songs in quick sucession.
Travelling Band by CCR
On the Road again by Canned Heat
Willin by Little Feat
Any other great Road/Travelling songs for an imaginary compilation CD?

No spot on Weggie. It's a song about going on the road NOT as Carter suggested a "driving song ie some power ballad the people on Top Gear would listen to.
