Unfortunately the record was beaten by Shane Long in 2019 for Southampton: 7.69 seconds. Southampton were also the away team and Watford kicked-off. Anyway as that is listed as the fastest Premier League goal ever and they never take into account what happened before 1992, we can say that jimmy scored the fastest ever in the old Division One.
