  • Am I the only person that has never heard of any of these songs?

    I must be getting old!!
  • believe me, you're not alone
  • I'm happy to report that although I have heard of some of the artistes I do not know any of the songs mentioned by name - and I am totally comfortable with that fact.
  • Different language to me.

    (puts on cardigan and slippers).
  • If you want to listen to one new album, many people will recommend Sound of Silver by LCD Soundsytem.

If you want to listen to an album with your pipe and slippers then try Coles Corner by Richard Hawley.

    Both excellent.
  • or we've only got 10 men,in the last minute, whilst snogging some old geezer.

I do hear some new songs on the radio but I can never remember who is who. So I'll just say some of the above are amongst my favourites too.
