First car was a talbot sunbeam- sold but probably rusted away
Then a few cavaliers, a mondeo, a 318, then a BMW tourer, an Omega and then the best of the lot, a Volvo S60 D5 (provebial off a shovel), which was stolen off my drive.. :-((
My first car was a Yellow Mini 850cc V reg. I loved that car, but it had to go - I was just too tall for it!
I'm going to be chopping in my Focus next year and I'm not really sure what to get. I fancy something quick - Audi TT/Seat Leon RS possibly, but with Petrol Prices, sorry Taxes so high not sure what to go for.
It's kind of like one of the mid-life things that you have to do - own a fast car.
First car was a mk1 escort estate with oversize rostyle wheels. I thought I was the beesknees! The car came off second in an argument with a brick wall in Woolwich.
Also driven an HA viva, Mk4 cortina, mazda 626 which took me to so many away games in the 80's, Cirtoen BX saloon which took me to so many away games in the 90's, Citroen BX estate.
Currently driving an 18 year old gas guzzling Jaguar Sovereign.
Only been driving since I finshed uni. First car was a brand new Renault Clio that I shared with my ex - I hated that car so she got that in the break up and still has it.
Car now is a Ford KA that I bought as pre-registered for a bargain price. I'd like something nicer but find it really hard to justify as I struggle to notch up more than 1,500 miles a year. I commute all week and drink all weekend so really don't do a lot of driving!
My first car was a Mk5 Cortina rust-bucket, blue with cream coloured furry seat covers. It was passed onto me by my Dad when he upgraded to a Cortina estate! I loved it, it was like driving a cruiseliner around as it was so massive compared to me. I used to pack loads of friends in there for days/nights out. When it's MOT was due the bloke in the garage started wetting himself when I drove it in - never a good sign. Needless to say it didn't pass and was scrapped, for which I received the grand total £25.
Since then have had a horrible leaky green Nova, a pink/faded-red golf and now drive a newer but still a few years old, shiny red Chav-special lowered Golf which I bought from someone at a car boot sale :-)
First car was a white 1100 3-door Escort. Paid £800 for it 17 years ago; was offered £400 for the number plate at a boot sale (plate was NAM 4X) but decided to keep the plate. Did me well - I managed to roll it onto it's side in second gear in the little road behind Eltham Baths - didn't even break the wing mirror! Sold it to a friend of the family for £400 - he put it into a garage to have the brakes done and someone nicked it from the yard ....
My first car was an Austin Metro 1.0L bought brand new C104ULN from Palmsville in Muswell Hill...heap of dung in the end couldn't get up hills. In my time I have owned a MG Maestro Turbo, seriously quick rattled like a box of nails. Never had any trouble dealing with the other boy racer cars in the 80s in that thing. Now have a 5 series BMW superbly engineered and put together, nice family car!
Ford fiester Ghia F reg call betcie no radio the windows slid down and anything over 50 mph it used to shake!! got caught on the job by a farmer in his field. It blew up on me wicked car
My first ever car was a renault 5. Passed my driving test at lunchtime at school. Mum drove me down the car they'd bought for me at 3.30 so I could drive home....... at 3.35 some old dear crashed into me by Wilmington on the A2 and wrote the thing off. Mind you, if someone had walked into it, it would have been a write-off.
We got compensation and all that jazz, so ended up with a nice little Nova 1.4. So I was quite happy in the end.
when you went to put it into first, it would easily slip into reverse! had to put it into 2nd the whole time then slip it into first. the engine decided to pack up on it so i ended up putting a second hand engie into it, which then decided to go kaput on me. I then took the whole thing apart, put it back together only for the electrics, suspension and brakes to go on me!
scrapped it and got a new Punto, done 85k miles in it withing 4 years (while at college and uni!).
after than, got a renault 5 GT Turbo for fun.
then an Vauxhall Astra to commute in, then a Company VW Golf Match, then a VW golf GTI Turbo.
now i just use the Mrs' BMW 316 which is a slow tank.
1st car was a white 205 GTi.........Thrashed the pants out of it and loved it!
Got rid of it when my company offered me a midnight blue Renault 19 16v with black leather seats. Lovely car (at the time)!!
Dont really need a car at the moment so we have a Focus 1.8 Zetec. Decent car, doesnt set the world alight, but its reliable and comfortable. However with another sprog on the way were looking at an Audi A4 Avant. Must be getting old if Im looking at an estate.....
1st car was an MG Metro, got it before i'd passed my driving test at 17..
then got a blue Nova 1.2 with got written off (not my fault!) then upgraded to a Nova GTE my pride & joy for a couple of years...
Next was a Freelander & Saxo VTR (for the missus!) which she then kept both of when we split up Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
so bought an Audi A3 & now have a BMW.
I drove it to Portsmouth away and smashed it up right outside a pub full of Pompey fans, and I was behind the wheel wearing my Charlton shirt - not one of my better memories of watching Charlton. We also lost 3-0 which made the day even worse!

I certainly wouldn't knock them, been a great car for us, 5 years old 30,00 miles on the clock and still runs and looks brand new....

Now driving a family-friendly Picasso
Nothing obscure - would rather have a fast sporty number but the arrival of children has delayed that purchase!
