[cite]Posted By: Rothko[/cite]Sounds like the police were put in a terrible position in Manchester city centre, and when the screen went off the reaction was stupid in Piccadilly Gardens
Over 100k fans their and only 42 arrents, seems to be like the behaviour was excellent.
The facilities laid on by the mancs was a disgrace.

You can't arrest 100's of people when they are running at you, throwing crap at you and kicking you while on the floor though...
WSS if the council hadn't have fcuked it wouldn't have happened, just put yourself in the position you pay the money to go there have a good booze up all day get ready to watch the game and the screens go blank. The old bill tell all bars to lock the doors, what just shrug your shoulders hey ho never mind, well if you tell me that would be your reaction BOLL**KS
That wouldnt be my reaction but by the same token I would not rush the police and throw stuff at them and trip them up and attack them.
We have been banging on about authority and respect for a couple of days on here and it seems hypocritical to say its ok for mindless violence if it affects your watching of football. And although you may not be happy with what happened you don't chase the police down a road mob-handed.
[cite]Posted By: Gump[/cite]That footage sickened me and I'm a Rangers supporter. Its always a minority that spoils it for the rest.
Yeah, of course its like 0.2% of people who were there.
Just think, if Palace were in the play off final and sold out Wembley (ha ha ha) and had big screens in Croydon and that happened with the tv screens and police we'd be all calling them thugs etc etc.
Should be no different who it is, be it Charlton, Rangers, Millwall or Bromley!
imagine us in europe say france, are hordes on the trains there, but then trouble on the platforms as police try to disperse us but are spotters holding strong as they await the 7.57 from rennes to paris.

Very true.
There's no doubt that the authorities were underprepared and messed up. But that doesn't excuse in any way the fighting, looting, smashing in of shops, turning over cars and knifing that occurred.
A very sad state of affairs, and those involved have tarnished their clubs reputation on what should of been a celebration night.
Admin take the IRA comment off dont matter what F**kin contex it was in. Maybe i should give a sh*t about the context when they shot my mate and his mum.
Just said on TV that they big screen was to be used for Moan Utd fans to watch the Champs League final next week. Now though it has been called off. That is boll*x isnt it ?

Throw them all in Old Trafford with big screens in there.
Then the club can take a lot of the responsibility.

seconded
woefully under-prepared and had no idea how to contain or control, or indeed assist!

But seriously, smashing up Manchester, and attacking the blokes who were trying to fix the screen is too much.

Well i wouldnt anyway.
i thought that was a positive...
The IRA did a better job.
don't forget the flasks... my god don't harm the thermos
People will be attacked with flasks, and the dreaded parker wearing snookel gang will be in attendance.

What a stupid comment
for the context to my utterly stupid comment
context innit
So you agree with the IRA to bomb manchester then ? As long as no-one died eh
No I don't, where did I say I did?
You said the IRA did a better job of smashing up Manchester
Said in sarkyness, and there was no agreement with the bombing
As AFKA said, I'll leave this to you
