    New members in my gym last night who clearly don't want to be there. If you are going to use a machine and stop someone else from doing so at least look like you are interested and keen instead of sitting on it updating your Twitter Feed.

    Thing is, even if the dog has messed on the new carpet, chewed up some furniture or whatever, there's way and means of dealing with it, last resort being a trip down the local re-homing centre (not that I would do that myself), but to do what they done takes some depravity that most people can't comprehend.

    January is to gyms what December is to pubs - regular users have to put up with a sudden influx of nuisance visitors who don't understand the etiquette and just get in everyone's way. They'll be gone by the start of February, when they realise that you can't get a 6-pack from just sitting in a gym.

    Always try get up and go at 6am this time of year, find the annoying newbies don't fancy that sort of time of the day.

    Technical objects that don't work until the person due to repair them turns up. 

    My Sky dish cables have been playing up for weeks, it finally gave up completely at the weekend and the box would not 'initialise' at all, nothing but a blue screen. Got a local engineer booked, arranged to work at home, hoping it would be an easy fix. He turns up, switches on the box and everything works fine ARGH! 

    Now I am left sitting here waiting for the thing to go wrong again, knowing that the fucker will start working as soon as the engineer appears.

    Going into shops at this time of year on the possibility of grabbing a bargain. The rail says "Up to 70% off". There is never anything on there at 70% off, and I suspect there never was. A bit of a con.
