@TCE, Hi mate, sorry to hear about JJ, but my lips are sealed, not even going to tell Angie. Take care mate and I hope JJ comes back home soon. I agree there are many irresponsible dog owners who really shouldn't have a dog. We dog owners with the larger breeds that you and I have are the ones that seem to get the blame, but sadly, when Angie is out with our GSD's they keep getting attacked/approached by the smaller breeds where people cant control them. I'm making a plea that if you cant control a dog, whatever the size, then DONT let them off the lead SIMPLE!!1

I remember about 20 years ago when I had a large male black GSD that was very friendly. He was very confident and did not bother with other dogs. Another owner with a smaller GSD bitch used to allow hers to go off lead and chase and sometimes hurt smaller dogs, then one day he thought he would try it on with mine, in a flash, mine turned it over and stood there with his mouth just above the other dogs throat. With the other dog howling the owner run up and said "he has deserved this for a long time", (yes honestly, as if she had no control over what he did). I said nothing and eventually my dog allowed it to get up without a scratch on it. That dog never came near us again0

People taking the piss. My car just came back from the garage after someone drove into it stationary. He owned up and his insurance paid, had a hire car while my car was being fixed.
let the insurance company know and then get a call from the hire car company in know we dropped you off and you can’t get back from here easily but we can’t pick the car up due to the current restrictions, can you drop it off and get a taxi home?’No mate we aren’t leaving the house and I’m not bringing my son out for that trip.
ok, please hold and we will see what we can do.Beep beep beep
we can come and pick it up tomorrow morning.

Being asked for my opinion, having been reprimanded for not contributing to the discussion, and then having every suggestion pooh poohed and rejected.
They then take umbrage when I commented that now you know why I didn't bother to contribute as I knew my suggestions would be rejected!5 -
Then the boss comes up with the same suggestion and they all think its marvellous.1

We (wifey, 2 kids and me) currently live in a small 2-bedroom house. This place is like an obstacle course. The place is way too small for us and we knew this, but it was a temporary solution, but we're building a double-storey house in the garden with more than twice the space of the current house.
The house is less than 3 days away from being completed and last Wednesday everything stopped for at least 4 weeks.
They basically just have to install 2 x heat pumps and switch the hot water on and we're good to go.
But no, we can't enter the house.
I know other people are in a much worse situation, but it's like being able to touch the line finish line and being told to stop.2 -

But As there is no live sport, Sky are showing the world origami championships.Just a shame it's on paper view, we can't enter the house.

"Ramping Up". I don't know whether government ministers are schooled to use this ridiculous phrase or whether they are mindlessly copying their leader, but the word they all seem to be struggling for is "increasing".8

LenGlover said:Dog owners ( sorry @TCE nothing personal) and their sense of entitlement and rank bad manners, in these social distancing times, in considering that they own the whole pavement and that it is the responsibility of everyone else to make way for them.
Yesterday I encountered a woman with a dog, although a more accurate description would be a dog with a woman given the way she struggled with it, and started crossing the road in good time to get out of her way and maintain 'social distance' she then followed me so I doubled back and she did the same! In the end I took my life in my hands and walked down the centre of the road as by this time there was traffic in both directions.
The arrogance of some dog owners knows no bounds!
Also their favourite quote of, "It won't hurt you, it's only playing", does my head in.
