  • Yeah my old man used to bump into him a lot back in the 80's , along with the other DJ Peter Powell, old man said both were decent guys

    Used to work on TV's for British Relay anyone old enough to remember them, beofre they were brought out by Visionhire, worked teh Barbican area lots of famous faces up there back then

    Powell's flat was a mess had 100's of vinyl sent to him to play on Radio never had time to play them so used to pik a load up and give them to teh old man, some proper shocking tracks as well most ened up in the bin

    We had a long chat about Elvis (I know GH, I know) and about the media and a recent story about his sex life, he was a top laugh about it.

  • Having been a special projects chap in 5 star hotels saw and meet loads which i guess isnt really what the threads about. One of the first was Melony Griffiths , i didnt have a clue who she was. Right babe then tho and very friendly. I think she was thinking of me when she did the seen in "when Harry met Sally" !!


    Have yo say other than McCenroe and David Coverdale all the celebs were good peeps. Those two needed a good smack and one nearly did.


    DA9 cant say i ever had a chat about Elvis with any but did take a lady to a Punk club in New Cross ( she sany the song DIVORSE). nearly got the tin tack over that.
