Point one - totally disagree. It is a football club which should provide me with entertainment. I dont boo but I dont stand there mindlessly supporting the shit that they are producing. I am most probably not that clear on what 100% support is and whether anyone can be put forward as a role model?
Totally agree - and WSS has admitted that he didn't word it too well but I sort of know what he means.
I know stonemuse, and I do appreciate that, but I still don't believe that everyone on here, have put the same passion into supporting the club as they have speaking up today. there are people that have posted for the first time about how bad it was, but they weren't here in the past few weeks/months. People are just negative and love moaning for the sake of it. I just need to realise that some people will never cheer up.
I totally accept the recent turn by some of the former positive camp into the negative camp and i totally respect their views and change of opinions. I just know from the people i sit around that the effort they put into booing at the weekend and singing pardew out was so hypocritical as they do'nt actually join in with any of the positive singing/clapping when the team are doing well.
I couldnt do the protest thingy...I stood and watched them in the rain on Saturday, but couldnt really blame them for venting there feelings....I even thought the Pardew out in the North stand was a bit half hearted...albeit I think it would be best if he went.
I thought the Pardew out was quiet and most probably reflects how much we really do want to publically support him (maybe) and the team (definitaley). But the offerings just dont allow us to celebrate anything and havent done for 2 years........
For some odd reason, I just wanted to walk away from it on Saturday, usually I'lll stay to the end, but when the third went in, I just didn't want to be part of it anymore, what was going on the pitch was abject, and I knew that the supporters were in the mood for a public beheading.
I just want to go along and support the side, which is going to be a problem in the coming weeks, as people will be going to get the head of the manager.
At the moment I want him out, if he wins 3 on the spin, I'll be as fickle as the next football supporter.
i shouted 'pardew out' just the once but that was when the third goal went in and i realised laying barnsley at 3.4 to 1 on betfair was a foolish bet and would be costing me dough...
Was a bit worried about my Dad facing the neanderthals after the game outside Main reception so recruited Medders & Gumbo to stand between the Ultra's & my Dad & his Stewards, it looked a bit dodgy for a while but we stood our ground & saw them off....err to the players Entrance :-)

Was there really a protest then, as i was outside the West for a while and saw nothing?
About 30 people mixed ages from early twenties to mid thirties I'd say Singing 'Pardew Out' & 'Sack the Board' (Idiots). The rain drove them away I think in the end.
were fans really singing sack the board ffs.... cos there's a charlton jack walker just waiting around the corner to spunk a few million quid on us .....
