hate Spurs but really pleased for Darren. I want him to do well. If he could score a couple every game for Spurs but they still lost that would be ideal.

Excellent striker should not have sold him. Reading goes down gives their top scorer a new contract !!

Still not convinced Harry is that hot on him.

Interviewer: "So Harry, what did you think of darren Bents Hatrick?"

Harry. "Well all the lads done well, Tom Huddlestone was immense, yadda yadda yadda........."

yeah but they haven't offered a daft amount of money for him have they. Don't you worry if they were offered 10m plus they'd sell

A couple of weeks ago, a mate who is a spurs fan said we can have him back and he would pay for the Taxi. Now he thinks he should get his England call up.

Really pleased for Benty, he deserves sucess

    Two goals today now
  • [cite]BBC Text Commentary[/cite]1626: GOAL Manchester City 1-2 Tottenham
Jermaine Jenas holds the ball up and plays in Darren Bent, who simply does not know how to stop scoring. He takes a touch and rifles the ball with unerring accuracy all along the ground and in-off the far post. Cracking finish from a player just about in the form of his life.

Form of his life? He was doing that for 2 season solid for us and I'm pretty sure Ipswich fans will tell you he did much the same regularly for them too. Pissing football Journos, do they ever pay a blind bit of notice to goings on outside the top half of the Premiership?
  • Got to be in England contention now, surely?

Lots of Spuds fans having to eat humble pie...

Hear hear. It does show you what confidence does (and a manager you can understand).

Benty is a confidence player and Harry gives him that. He was scoring before - loads in pre season and not all against lower leagues. He was scoring 1 in 2 games before Harry came along. Spur's trouble was no one else was.

Good for my fantasy league points, don't think many people will have him!!
  • Bent is one of those players that you have to build the attack round. Curbs knew this, Harry knows this, others have not. Good luck to him.

He's gone guys.......just like ALL our top players always have and most likely always will!
  • My £20 e/w on him to be top league scorer at 33/1 is looking better by the week...

Tottenham fans do make me laugh.

6 months ago he wasn't fit to wear the shirt - now at my work are sheepish in the extreme towards me saying I was right he will score goals.

well done southend hope he comes good for you- i only got 28's but that'll do.

The guy is top draw out and out goal striker more so than Rooney. Feed the Bent and he will score.
