Spurs.Generally arrogant fans, think that winning cups is a devine right.....0

Have to disagree with you there Nolly. The only history Millwall have is of providing Police 5 and Crimewatch with plenty of material over the years and they don't even do that now. Other than that, they've never won anything and spent most of their "history" in the second tier and below being watched by meagre crowds. Take away their hooligan reputation and they're no more significant than the likes of Swindon, Walsall and Stockport[/quote][cite]Posted By: MrLargo[/cite]millwall however much i loathe them are a proper club with history.
The truth, end of.0 -

Suspected as much. Have to agree.0 -
Actually how little do some of you know- Gillingham DOES have a history- they grew from the Royal Engineers team that won the FA Cup several times. The RE are based in Gillingham and Brompton Barracks is not too far from the ground as is The Royal Engineers Museum. The first world war I believe had an impact on them but not too sure when Gillingham rose from the ashes of the RE team. Brompton for those of you who do not know is in the nicer part of Gillingham (and YES there is one before any you say anything!) nearthe Chatham Historic Dockyard0

"Liverpool are very naff, the biggest following of glory hunters in the UK bar none (not even MUFC). "
You're not wrong there Algarve!
Nothing against proper scouse Liverpool fans, but I must have met thousands of plastic Liverpool 'supporters'. Strangely, there's even more of them around at the moment.
I wonder why?
Also, I don't look down on any of the lower league clubs (with the possible exception of MK Dons) as I think that they represent the true face of football. Just like Rochdale, they put up with years of shite with little respite and still stand by their team (they could support United or City after all). Respect.0 -
Fulham for me - There's a couple of them in the office who only started to follow them after they got promoted with Al Fayeds money. They really have no idea what Fulham used to be and where they came from. Unfortunately all their fans seem to have forgotten their heritage and think they have a god-given right to be in the prem.
Keep on telling them that when they do drop out, as they will do, just watch your club implode.0 -

Have Fulham still got a neutral area?0

March51, Arsenal does not exist as a place either, should they rename themselves as well as Port Vale?0

Rochdale is a great little club, big bar under the home end,all welcome as long as there is no trouble and very easy to have a jar at half time.0

Gillingham
Shit Ground, Complete c*** for a chairman, wanky fans oh & a shit team0 -
DA9, they should have renamed themselves when they moved to foreign parts over the river but they were probably too busy wriggling out of their one relegation season. Well spotted though: any more? Grimsby play in Cleethorpes but that's not the same thing really: being 'clubs who don't play were they're supposed to'.0

I think Islington council actually renamed the ward around the old Highbury Stadium Arsenal ward decades ago. They changed Gillespie Road underground station to Arsenal in the 1930's.0 -

Fulham actually play in the borough of Fulham, and so do Chelsea btw. Hence many Fulham fan's reference to Chelsea as "the squatters".0 -
