Conway, wasn't he the one employing his son who had never set foot in the HOP?
I bet the other MPs love him for opening the whole can of worms.

    Yes he was. Grrrrrrr

I wonder how much of the "staffing" costs claimed are actually in relation to members of their own families?

About 80% I would guess, the parasites.

Conway, whose 'staffing' is basically giving his missus and his son £73k a year, and who claims £23k a year on his 2nd home.
Lives in the next road to me. I'm sure he can't be expected to make the 8 minute walk to the station.....

This is where our political system is all wrong. If for example i wanted a Cameron and a Conservative government to run the country, why do i have to vote for this berk to represent my area's best interests ?

Come on Henry, you cannot expect your local MP to struggle home from London to Bromley after a long, hard day of lunches, gin & tonic and a bit of slap & tickle with his PA!

He need's a London apartment that can be reached by taxi to avoid the crush on the train from Charing Cross.

    ;-)

Looked at Dowd (spit!) our local "Labour" mp (yeah, right).
Can't do the link thingy, but I'm really, really hoping he's screwed up in a BIG way.
  • Options
Apparently he "works" for Lewisham council, not the pratts who voted for him.

I've met him before through work. He did seem like a bit of a berk to be fair - not unlike Derek Conway from The Bill!

I have to be fair and say that on the occasions I have had to call on him he has come up trumps as a constituency MP.

I say that as somebody who does not like this present Labour government of which he is presently Transport Minister.

Ok, I've sent this and it's been acknowledged. I'll post up the reply when received.

    Dear Bob Neill,

I see in your expenses that you claimed £19,108.00 second home
allowance in 2007/2008.I was wondering how this is justified, as you
    appear to live in Chislehurst?

I believe the last train you could get home from Charing Cross to
    Chislehurst is gone midnight.

Additionally,I was wondering about your staff expenses being in excess
of £100,000.00. Who do you employ and on what basis. Are any of these
    employees family, friends or associates?

    Yours sincerely,

BTW, did anyone see that article about the chap who works in London and lives in Penzance. In the summer months, he sleeps overnight in his £30 tent in Epping Forest ?

Why can't all our MP'S do the same? :-)

And in the winter lives in a £15 a night conference centre. A bit drastic but it proves the point.

I await the response from our MP.
