watching the news about M Jackson tonight we started to speculate as to which personages would be high profile enough to warrant a 'we interupt this programme to bring you the sad news that xxxxxxxx has died'.

So who do you think it would be?

    Macca
    Thatcher

any serving Prime minister or head of state. don't think any footballers, past or present, even the 66 squad.

I though BBC News were well over the top. 10pm last night and they must have spent 2/3rds of their programme on Jacko's death.........and it was old news by then.

    Macca yes but not Ringo
Thatcher yep but not John Major
Madonna just about, but not Siouzie or any Brit bird
    Any top royal
No footballer, not even Pele would stop the show (closest would be Beckham)
Richard Branson would cause a stir but not interupt the telly.

Eddie Firmani departing our mortal coil would leave me all doleful and weeping into my beer.
Which reminds me, John Lennon was quite a night!

It all depends on how and when really.

If Bruce Forsyth keeled over at the Royal Variety performance whilst meeting the Queen and inadertantly pushed her off the stage I'm sure they'd be straight there.
