I wonder if there should be a rule implemented which says that when a club appoint a new Manager they must list those that were interviewed and those that didnt get interviewed - Would certainly offer a bit more clarity
"Macclesfield fans probably say 'what's going on here?' You know, an international footballer who was one of the best footballers in the world coming to your club, I think there's a mutual balance there."
Yet in the same vein, when you read the next article with regards to Tim Flowers @ Solihull Moors it doesnt seem an issue thats related to race - Instead it seems these days clubs just prefer going for the safe option that is tried and tested
Asked about the BME issue, Campbell stated this at the press conference
"As long as I do a good job and do it professionally and people see the quality, and see who I really am, then I think that’s all you can do in football. Whatever comes after that, whatever attitude comes from that through success, although I hope I’m not judged just on success, I hope I’m judged on what kind of ship I run. I think in the end football wins hopefully, and people start looking at all scenarios. In the end I just want to be a manager. Forget whatever colour you are – that’s the way it should be really. I’m thankful for the opportunity here.”
I always rated him highly as a defender, not sure about his post playing career or attitude .. be interesting to see what he makes of the 'Silkmen' job. Macclesfield is a very old established club and deserves a break or two .. I suspect the novelty will soon wear off for the club owners, the fans and Campbell .. we will see
Don’t wish him any ill, but I think he’s a narcissist on trump levels, Can’t wait for his first post match interview after a defeat, will have more excuses than Robinson, the meltdown will be immense

Hell even in the ordinary world how many times have each of us been turned down for a job because of our inexperience?
Lost count of the times myself

The mans not well
Sol knew Macclesfield were League 2 but not that they were bottom!
Hard to believe but Duchatelet is not the only person NOT to do due diligence.
