Tragic....echo all the sentiments already stated by others. I lost a teamate mate in an incident at football last year and it leaves you feeling utterly empty. Different circumstances entirely but the same feeling of total bewilderment at the absolutely tragic outcome.
Sorry to hear that Dicko. The thing that usually gets me through sh*t like that is I like to think they've gone to a much better place. Whether it be b*llocks or not I don't care but it helps me and I hope it'll help you. Hope your ok pal!
Like many others I saw this on the news & thought it was terribly sad
Never expected to read that it was a friend of 'one of our own'.
Thoughts are with his family, they must be going through hell.
& Carter, looks like you have lots of other friends..........you'll need them, so use them & enjoy the memories you & Dave had cos no one can take them away.
Always reminds me to let those I love know it as often as I can..........tragic xx
I didn't realise it made the news, but I suppose it is very unusual. A smile was put on my face because of that, he was always trying to get his name in the local papers from football, claiming own goals and just trying to get a mention!
Very unfair, sad loss and again cheers for all the sentiment boys & girls
A good friend of mine died at 29 having just ordered a round of drinks in a pub. He collapsed with a massive brain haemorage (?spelling), never regained consciousness and died 24 hours later.
It's a hell of a shock.
In time though you will all remember the good times with affection.
So sorry to read this. I found out last night that my ex-wife and my ex-father-in-law knew Dave through football too.
A mate in my circle of friends passed away Sunday night too, so this has been one hell of a shitty week.
