that diet sounds ridiculous! surely 3 balanced meals a day should do it! cereal breakfast, salad for lunch and healthy meat and veg combo for dinner is the best way?
AFKA - Years ago I had to stop playing football due to knee injury and was advised by the specialist that I should never play again - not sure whether my football manager had a word with the specialist ;o) but anyway, always continued to have problems and have had keyhole treatment too. But what has been so beneficial for me now is the visits to the gym and building up the muscles surrounding the knee. I use the cycle or the all round trainer machine in the gym which has definitely been the reason why I have less problems with my knee now. Go on....get on your bike, you know it makes sense!
I'll second what solid has said. My eldest lad had his ACL reconstructed and bike work is the best thing for it. Well that and/or swimming which is a ball ache getting to/from etc. Running, especially on roads, will do more harm than good.
Get advice.. it really depends on the injury. If your knee is unbalanced it could mess it up big time, also cycling can shorten your hamstrings so do stretching afterwards - but you should be careful with stretching too if you've recently had an op. I've had three knee operations and am a regular cyclist.
