Someone on Talksport mentioned that Messi is in the running for it... like really?

I'm not sure he's in the running to win it, but he'll probably end up top 10.

    The current odds are:

    Kane 8/13
    Yamal 9/2
    Mbappe 6/1
    Rodri 7/1
    Kvaratskhelia 8/1

Other than the odd piece on the BBC "we" aren't very good at all at doing the PR and marketing for Harry and they're pretty disappointed by it.

With it being a Eurovision type system with a journalist from each country (I think ours is Henry Winter), it's all about the PR machine.

Bayern and Harry's team and trying hard but I'm not sure it will quite be enough.

Kane is an odd favourite really.

Wasn't Bayern's best player last season (that was Olise)
Wasn't England's best player at the world cup (that was Bellingham)
Madness that Olise or Dembele aren't just running away with it. But I suppose there's a weird preference for awards to a player of a certain 'team' as if it's a shared award.
In my mind the Ballon D'Or winner should be the answer to the question of: Who is the best player in the world right now? And not this weird team/storyline award.
