Sorry Adam but when I read that I, and I suspect maybe MOG, Stone Muse and Badger, started singing

    You're only 29
    Got a lot to learn
    But when your mummy dies
    She will not return

We like noise, it's our choice
    It's what we wanna do
We don't care about long hairs
    I don't wear flares

See my face not a trace
    No reality
    I don't work, I just speed
    That's all I need

    I'm a lazy sod, I'm lazy sod
    I'm a lazy sod, I'm so lazy
    I'm a lazy sod, I'm lazy sid
    I'm a lazy sod, I'm so lazy
    I can't even be bothered
    Lazy Lazy

Which is, in case you don't know, "seventeen" by the Sex Pistols.

Of course all the bloody hippies on here were thinking

I learned the truth at seventeen
That love was meant for beauty queens
And high school girls with clear skinned smiles
Who married young and then retired
    The valentines I never knew
The Friday night charades of youth
Were spent on one more beautiful
At seventeen I learned the truth

And those of us with ravaged faces
    Lacking in the social graces
    Desperately remained at home
    Inventing lovers on the phone
Who called to say, "come dance with me"
    And murmur vague obscenities
It isn't all it seems at seventeen

Which is "At 17" by Janis Ian and a great song too.

and the younger ones like me would be singing homer from the simmpsons clasic:
When i was 17, i drank some very good beer
Some very good beer i purchased with a fake id
    my name is brian makee
i stayed up listening to queen
    when i was 17!!!!

There is a light that never goes out - The Smiths

    Take me out tonight
    Where there's music and there's
People who are young and alive

    Driving in your car
I never never want to go home
Because I haven't got one, anymore

    Take me out tonight
Because I want to see people
And I want to see lights

    Driving in your car
Oh, please don't drop me home
    Because it's not my home
It's their home and I'm welcome no more

And if a double-decker bus crashes into us
To die by your side is such a heavenly way to die
And if a ten ton truck kills the both of us
To die by your side, well, the pleasure and the privilege is mine

    Take me out tonight
    Take me anywhere, I don't care, I don't care, I don't care

    And in the darkened underpass
I thought oh God, my chance has come at last
But then a strange fear gripped me and I just couldn't ask

    Take me out tonight
    Take me anywhere, I don't care, I don't care, I don't care

    Just driving in your car
I never never want to go home
    Because I haven't got one
    I haven't got one

And if a double-decker bus crashes into us
To die by your side is such a heavenly way to die
And if a ten ton truck kills the both of us
To die by your side, well, the pleasure and the privilege is mine

There is a light that never goes out
There is a light that never goes out
There is a light that never goes out

Enjoy the silence is a fantastic shout, too.

  • Wonderful tonight by Eric Clapton - this was my first dance at my wedding. The best day of my life.
More than words - Extreme. Takes me back to my teenage years and my first love

I'll also add For Whom The Bell Tolls by Metalica as I don't think that's been mentioned yet.
