Pedham is like an inland links. i really like it but if you're a 'target golf' fan then it may not be your cup of tea. a few blind holes, so if playing for the 1st time buy a course planner. they've had planning issues so facilities are portacabins.

Re redmurph. agreed. chartham is a gem of a course.
only ever turned up and played pedham. never had society there so don't know about showers.
Being straight (ooherr missus) will help but there are holes you can open your shoulders.
toughest thing i always find are the 'blind' hard greens and stopping the ball on them.
Maybe a LITTLE far for you mate but , I live in Pattaya Thailand, we have about 30 beautiful courses all within about 50 mins- hour. Played and lived here for about seven years now and only had to stop play on two occasions because of the rain.....Err hope that helps. :-)
