the underground is running normally but you just can't get down there because they have shut London Bridge (i think)
Network Rail are saying it is staying shut for the rest of the day
yes but london bridge jubilee line does have a differen entrance? like the entrance on Borough surely people can enter in through that entrance? thas not part of the same roof surely.
anyway dont listen to me, i was trying to help out my Ma who is a regular train and tube commuter, where as i am just a retard when it comes to computing, i mean commuting!
I can understand the safety implications of the train stations in today's litigious society but roads there no bloody excuse especualliy in C London.
They knew this weather was coming they 've been warned. The councils should have had teams out on the MAIN roads with open back lorries and chain saws. Soon as trees come down get them cleared.
Reading some of these messages makes me feel lucky, we had a major power cut at work so we got sent home at 3.30pm, had to drive round the M25 to junction 8 (Reigate/Redhill) and the wind was mental, I could feel my car moving sideways in the wind - hate to think how the high-sided lorry drivers cope
Have been out all day doing deliverys, done about 80 miles today and it's been terrible conditions, numerous wheelie bins in the roads, lots of trees have come down, walls, fences, roof tiles, people walking backwards because of strong winds, vechiles unable to cope and driving really slow, lots of congestion around dartford, blackwall tunnel, and other routes,am glad to be back.
Took 9 hrs to get back from Skemersdale yesterday via m6, m62, m1, m45, m1 and m25. oh what fun, trying to avoid road closures. Took 30 mins to get from the car park in the services back onto the motorway. Good job we left Skemerdale at 1.30pm
