  • [cite]Posted By: sam3110[/cite]I have a theory on that, I reckon the deal was in the pipeline from Feb/March, and he was hardly used since then. We needed the money and he was our most profitable asset so we didn't risk a major injury to him.

    Totally agree with that.

Even if there had been no interest from Liverpool in Feb/Mar the club knew that he was their most saleable asset and they just could not afford for him to get crocked.

We would have been up the creek without a paddle if we had not have sold him.

    Definately this!

wouldn't we have been insured against something like that and wouldn't it have been more financially better for the club to have played him (he is clearly quality) and perhaps we would have won that extra couple of games and we'd now be looking forward to the new season in the championship rather than where we find ourselves now?
  • A touch of the Simonsons about JJ at Charlton? Nobody good enough to play with him?

Best of luck to the lad, will have field day with two holding players behind him.
  • He dosen`t play for us anymore so who cares. Ive never really understood the obseesion with this guy. When he did play last year he wasnt that great.

This is my biggest gripe with Parky. I truly believe that if he'd played Jonjo in a few more games we'd be starting the season as a Championship side. I also cannot understand why he didn't get a run in the centre of midfield as this is where he was the most impressive when he first broke into the team.

[cite]Posted By: ross[/cite]He's been given the number 33 shirt for the season. Doesn't indicate him featuring in first team plans as much, but then again a number is just a number nowadays.

I wasn't aware that was his number.

Nadou he seems to be doing really well and yes already really liked by the liverpool fans, playing center mid for liverpool, something he couldn't do for Charlton (apparently)

Hodgson clearly doesnt have a clue, all bow down to the masterfull parky!!!!

We'll finish higher in our division than they will in theirs.

god you must be stupid. He was our best player and I'd have had him ahead of Bailey and Racon.
