[cite]Posted By: nth london addick[/cite]because saints the the fact that you club is trying to charge a national newspaper to use their own pictures that they have taken is wrong yet you dont seem to think so..
you are a small club like ourselves and you need to act like 1..
banning your local rag because they released a story to early is just ridiculous aswell becuse they ultimatly will turn against your club..
yet you fail to see wrong in either things therfore showing blind loyalty..
if it was charlton i would not just follow the clubs line on it i would think it to be a stoopid greedy motivated concept and one i would not be happy that we were doing
They signed a contract and were told not to release the story until Saints had, it was big news regarding the training ground and what did the Echo do? Report it the day before.
After that they put loads of snipes towards the ownership. This would also be the same Echo that stuck up for Rupert Lowe...
you still need the support of your local paper you need 1 strong enough to report news how the fans need it not just from within the club and or how the club want it reported it needs to be non biased..
and as for rupert lowe he took you to the bbest league in the world and gave you some great times do you think that a little loyalty may have been warented.
what if you pull a big club out in the latter stages of the cup are your fans that are not there denied from viewing those images
small club with a poor mentality thats what you lot are at the moment and you will be mad not to question the reasons why the club you support is acting in this manor

Lowe never took us to the 'best league in the world', we were already there when he took over and then 10 years later he was almost killed the club.
At the moment I'm standing with my club on this, like I say the national newspapers usually don't use photos of League One games.
We have our fan forum next month, so hopefully this subject will get cleared up a little bit, I personally think it won't be long until some sort of agreement gets reached between Saints and the media.
I find it odd though how such a big deal is being made from this, there are far bigger stories happening in football at the moment.
*Oh and on the subject of us pulling a big club in the cup - I personally think the national newspapers will give over for that one game, especially if it is someone like Pompey at St. Mary's.
[cite]Posted By: Saints fan[/cite]I don't see why they're making a big deal out of this.
Which take us back to NLA's original point ;-)
When The Premier League starts again the national newspapers will be back to doing their small match reports for League One matches which have no pictures of the game.
"This senseless move will not make him extra money but it will turn the fans and, more importantly, sponsors away from the club"
It may well harm some sponsorship deals but as if any Saints fan will be driven away from the club just because the Sun don't mention the team or put a photo of the game in their paper!!
Saints Fan, I hear that Mr liebherr was a big supporter of Pardew but his No2 despises Pards, do you agree that any other bad results could see the end of Pards at Saints?
[cite]Posted By: Saints fan[/cite]Bit of a rumour down this way is that the photographer ban was put in place to ensure there were no photos of Markus Liebherr looking unwell.
I guess we will find out how true this is in the next week or so.
Sorry but that is both laughable and in poor taste.

I don't think our number two 'despises' Pardew, but if rumours are to be believed AP wasn't Cortese's first choice for manager.
I think he has until new year, if we're not in the top two he will be out the job and rightfully so.
[cite]Posted By: Saints fan[/cite]Another step towards the exit door for Pardew.
FML.
Oh i'm enjoying this season so much already... I remember a little chat we had last year, i'm sure i said you lot would struggle this year under him. I think you said something about winning the league

The worse they do in the first 10 matches the better for them, to be honest. They'll sack Pardew and then rise up like Norwich did. Well that was what I think I said in the predictions thread, so I'll stick to the story.
Pardew can then buy a yacht with the Saints payoff. There's times I wish I was a pony football manager.
I wouldn't be surprised. Rightly or wrongly (and you can guess which one I think), he's seen as a big name at this level and the Championship.
Southampton could be excused for thinking Charlton was a blip, but if he fails at Saints with all the money they have spent, well, it'd be hard to justify giving him another big job. Then again, Dowie gets plenty of work

No I said we would be red hot favourites, which we are.
I've never been convinced by Pardew but I've stuck by him and imo if we don't beat Rovers next week - His career will be history and the best he can hope for is MOTD2.
Your tune is changing saintsfan big time you have given loads of bs reasons as to why pardew failed here yet here you are big squad full of good players and a mgr who couldn't manage to wipe his own arse

I hope you sack the big nosed twat soon
How?
I personally like Pardew as a person, but I have never been convinced by his tactical side of things - nor have I ever said we would get promoted under him.

If Pardew gets removed he can spin the sad death of the saints owner and subsequent turmoil as a reason why it wasn't his fault, and then get another gig, a club such as Crystal Palace or Leicester whom he can milk dry.

All this nonsense about banning photographers isn't good news for the club IMO.

Whoooosh.
You're totally missing the point here!

2 home games, 1 point, 1 goal.
Thery will walk this league!

No...
Pardew must stay.

I think he is a better manager than most charlton fans think he is now but not as good as the same fans thought he was when he came.
And he's certainly not as good as HE thinks he is.
How true
