Failing that and you want to go somewhere a bit cheaper, you can't go wrong with Bodeans!

one on maiden lane just off the strand near covent garden, and the porterhouse next door is a nice place to drink before/after
I'll echo that. Went to Zizzi's last night in Whitstable. Nice atmosphere, great food, decent staff. Spent £40 for the 2 of us. Can't go wrong.
I work right near that, and have never been. always full of men in suits!
Cafe [Pacifico in Langley St is good night out.
Isolabella's on Red Lion St in Holborn is a quality reatuarant Italian - thoroughly recommend the Lobster taglietelle
Where's this place? Can't beat a rack o' ribs!
Also Sarrastro is worth a go, very funky decor and they have kind of Roman porn in the toilet if it looks like it's all going west. They do an excellent pre-theatre if you go earlier.

well cool eating on tables up steps behind curtains and on cushions.
Hakkasan (would desperately love to go there) and a few other of the places mentioned might be a bit too formal.
I saw this place on a pre-Christmas trip to Ruxley. I never knew it exisited. I must say it looked lovely. Is it as good as it looks?
I promise you, you will not be disappointed
