Get Kieran Gibbs in now and be done with it. GJ will never be an international footballer. He has all the physical attributes and none of the mental requirements. How Liverpool spent £18m and £80k pw on him i'll never ever know0 -

Sometimes, it appears that players get picked to play for England on how much they are earning. GJ was really poor. Is there really no one better to play at RB ?
I think that Defoe should have gone on instead of Kevin Davies, maybe Rooney could have been replaced. I am not quite sure why Rooney always seems to be average under Capello as I am sure he is a decent footballer.0 -

Absolute sh*t. Totally bereft of any ideas. What have we learnt since the WC, we've got the same players (bar Adam Johnson and Joe Hart) turning out the same old sh*t.
Gerrard was too deep all the time, i lost count of the amount of times Barry gave the ball away, Glen Johnson was abysmal tonight, he made Simon Francis look like Cafu. How does SWP make the squad let alone the pitch?!
If you need some creativity then where were Joe cole or Wilshere? Crouch had a mare, and that will be Kevin Davies' one and only cap.
That shower also cost me the best part of £100 in an accumulator that would've come in if we'd won.
Somehow i doubt the Dutch, Germans and Spanish will be too worried if we qualify.0 -
I went tonight, great night with me lad, football, even a goal was a bonus.
I said to my boy that it must give any kid under the age of 16 hope of becoming a footballer if G Johnson and G Barry are internationals.
Absolute tosh the pair of them, so bad I cant honestly believe it.

Usual stuff from England...two decent performances to lift hopes then a game like last night against a limited BUT well organised side.
Seem to send most of the time trying to pass the ball sideways without any pace or forward thinking plan.

As others have posted where were the young players, Watched the first half and for all the possession we had we did little with it!.
Ashley Young looks good, then gives the ball away or looses it!. Surprissed at how poor Barry was as well, did not think he was a great player before, seems very average and slow too me!.
Frankly rather depressing.....0
