  • Apparently they only have 500 tickets left out of 3,400 for their trip to The Valley.
  • We better step up our noise making then. Saturday was pants. Not even the Covered End were getting involved.

I take that back, just read their message board and they have loads left. They are expecting around 2000 for saturday.
  • haha - Beds dunno where you get your ticket info from, wasn't it you who told me we'd sold 6,000 for the Barnet game a few days before it (might be wrong, can't be arsed to find the thread)

must admit I expected Luton to sell out.
  • think they were on very restricted sales until today when season ticket holders were then allowed up to six and then general sale from tomorrow I think.
  • Supposed to be a big freeze wednesday-friday according to bbc. Sats game might be in jeopardy
  • I remember seeing the mighty Luton thump us 7-1 at Kenilworth Rd and 5 -1 at the Valley.
Sad to see how far they have fallen, always quite liked them after they "gave" us Derek Hales for a few thousand pounds.
  • I remember them as a decent sized Club. Saturday will be a big game for them, and it could be a banana skin for us unless we come and perform with plenty of spirit. That also applies to us the supporters as well. I foresee plenty of goals, and am looking forward to it.

  • Good measures the MIGS will be out in force
  • given their history do Luton qualify as a non league club. I don't think any non leaguers have ever won at the valley but with our cup record that could change on saturday . if it happens the parky out crew will be out in force

Well they were out in the NU on Saturday still so it wouldnt surprise me at all. Amazing.

Good measures. Suspect Luton will bring a fair few knuckledraggers with them on Saturday - they've got a lot for a club of their size, only 2 or 3 years ago that they smashed up Whelans pub in Bermondsey during the course of an away day at Scumwall. Have a look on YouTube for the footage of the end of their play off defeat to York last season, York players had to take shelter in the back of the away end at Kenilworth Road.

They are a right bunch of %#*ts by all accounts and Saturday's a big day out for them.
  • Luton Town, great youth team setup and that's about all I can say for them. They seem to have possibly the pikiest malnourished 15-19 year olds of all clubs. Whether it's because they've been shit for 4-5 seasons or not, a load of young new supporters can gain easy access with the older support just fed up.... Loads of halfwit EDF supporters. If you go to Luton nowadays on match day you just see loads of non-working class pubescent teens leering at each other from their god awful pubs. They truly seem to be the children of 80's hooligans.

    Ha ha
  • Hmm, may give this one a miss. I travel on the train from and to London Bridge with my 8 year old so a bit sensitive to hoolies.

  • the day they smashed up whelans they also came a cropper when they went walkabout round millwall
  • I've already bought tickets but hooligans and a small crowd don't mix.

Might have to write the money off as football is meant to be an enjoyable relaxation and watching your back is not that.

I had no idea Luton were Millwall lite.
  • len doubt very much there will be trouble think people are getting all hot under the collar over what will be a run of the mill game
  • Doubt there will be much trouble directly around the ground, there will be the usual police presence and despite Lutons recent reputation- they are not exactly Milwall are they- sounds to me like a load of teenagers.

Also as with many clubs, the idiots/hooligans will surely be in the minority and easy to avoid.

I am not going but sure it should be fine- maybe best to avoid colours around London Bridge etc though.
  • We've got bog roll anyway, won't come near us

I live 13 miles away from Luton and that is a pretty good summing up of Luton of Today. Not a nice place full of not very nice people.
  • Good luck Welling.

    .

"Not exactly Millwall"....wise words. We turned up at yours with 3,000 and about 200 ticketless and there was hardly any trouble whatsoever apart from a few people crying on here about a few fans trying to run through a disabled entrance and the ticketless fans being escorted back to a pub.

So if they ain't as evil as we all are then I'm sure they won't burn the Valley down like some of you seem to think they will.

People choosing to no go simply because a few internet rumours that Luton have a few lads? Blimey.
