[cite]Posted By: Scoham[/cite]Wasn't there and no one has actually explained it, what were the poor tactics Parky used and what should he have been doing? Not saying it's wrong, just without being there it's not clear what these poor tactics were.
Surely one of the biggest problems was simply a lack of options. Had we put Abbott on for Anyinsah we'd have lacked pace up front, but with Martin and Benson together we lack a physical presence.
i would imagine its the fact that brighton played one up top after the sending off and we contiuned to aimlessly pump the ball forward as quick as possible. what brown was saying is that we should have controlled the ball from the back and drawn brighton out. Our players cannot wait to ping a 60 yard pass........where are those instructions coming from????
exactly we should have players who can pass, control and keep hold of the ball, we dont, if we had the brighton's players capabilities to do these things we would have murdered them, why don't we work on the attributes in training, if we do and we still dont use them, then it is down to the manager.
Brownie spoke a hell of a lot if sense last night. He couldn't understand why we didn't take advantage of 10 men and why we were too rigid with our formation. In other words Charlton's age old problem , an inability to adapt to the situation.
My beef and I think its justified, is that he was the BBC London reporter and he kept refering to Brighton as us....by all means be critical, but FFS be partisan.....he was the wrong choice Im afraid. Yes he did say he saw us play Walsall and Luton and he thought we were shocking....but who didnt? And yes he criticised our set up and coaching.....well its plain for all to see...Idont need an ex Charlton player/come very partisan Brighton coach ramming it down my throat....thank you....
I think he is frustrated that we are in this position, and seem to have departed from Charlton ways, and doing things the Charlton way! Although it is hard to hear a player, any player speaking like this, I feel he is speaking as he finds.
People do not like that!, I regard him as a Pundit, and although i do not entirely agree with some of the points he makes, I certainly value his judgement. Never met the bloke but have spoken to him on the radio, does not seem the type to say one thing on the air and another in private?
Too me, like Chris Powell I have a high regard for him. We have a few people like him, like Keith Peacock, we need to value there contribution!

was he just bbc london Tel. I don't know as I was there but is it possible he was BBC for the evening both London & Sussex ?
[cite]Posted By: northstandsteve[/cite]but be so bloody precious he told it as the people that were there saw it end of.
unreal , no one likes the truth , can we just pretend everything is rosey in la la charlton land cos anything else isn't nice to the precious fans of charlton
maybe next time he can make out we're playing great free flowing football in the premiership against man utd so that no one is offended
personally don't give a frig about who or what he calls himself cos WE are Charlton and he can be whoever he wants
Why chase players from daggers when we should have a scouting system in place that works for us.
We should be unearthing our own stars and we should be looking lower down the leagues as well, must be players who are in a lower league that can step up to the plate.
Is apparently about to sign paul hayes along danny green, he has been seen at the training ground according to my friend dont know if true but positive news if so
time for slater to get his money out and start having a few bids accepted.
I don't think Slater is the money man, I reckon Jimenez is but either way I agree. Time we start looking at some Centre Halfs, seem to be linked with Midfielder's week in week out
Beginning to feel like Dean Gaffney on a night out with all these rejections!
He crashed and burned with my ex after a night out in Chelmsford many moons ago
He was making out he was super smooth and cool but she said he was just greasy and ugly and had no charisma at all. Seeing as she's my ex I do wonder if she still feels the same
I would like to think that we might have a chance in this two horse race with the mighty Peterborough given our history both recent and past, stadium, crowd, training ground and ability to sell him our ambition. How much more could they pay him than us ?

I would be pissed if I was brighton he didn't back them really
I miss people like brown at our club when you think of proper charlton

I think he is really hurting in the season we got relegated from the championship he was distraut that the club had kept faith with parkinson
he is a real charlton boy just hurting, he had to say us for brighton they pay his wages
i think he was in absolute shock that we had a coach who was either unable or unprepared to change the way we were playing

The fact that he works for Brighton made it impossible for him to be rooting for us last night so BBC London should not have given him the gig .

I reckon we got no chance of signing him... not with Petersborough in for him aswell.
Surely we ain't got the money to compete with them!
Any ideas how much hes worth?
Who would you rather play on a cold tuesday night, away to West Ham or Stevenage?
I hope we do manage to sign him, looks a good finisher and hes a tidy dead ball specialist.
