Fascinating fact about Ulm - it has a church with the highest steeple in the world and was the home city of Uli and Dieter Hoeness, who were born above a butcher's shop.
time for slater to get his money out and start having a few bids accepted.
I don't think Slater is the money man, I reckon Jimenez is but either way I agree. Time we start looking at some Centre Halfs, seem to be linked with Midfielder's week in week out
How easy is it to implore somebody else to spend some of their money?
The end of June is key as clubs generally don't want to bring players in until then because players contacts run till the end of June.
Is he really very good or just seems it in relation to some of the tripe that we've seen these last few years. I wasn't aware of him when we played them but seen plenty of very short clips (which isn't really a basis to judge a player I know) & he doesn't actually seem to have too much about him. If we sign him hopefully I'm wrong & if we don't hopefully I'm right :-)
Who would you rather play on a cold tuesday night, away to West Ham or Stevenage?
Stevenage, obviously. Much easier.
Maybe I've got the wrong attitude though.
Who wants to play teams like Stevenage? I've never seen Charlton play Stevenage. Championship football is a lot more attractive to players then League one, just the way it is.

I've seen Charlton play Stevenage. It was a pre-season friendly and we won 4-0. Much more enjoyable than playing someone good and losing.

I think everyone is itching to see what kind of board we have, If they don't spend any money theres something clearly wrong. No one comes into a club wipes their £20m debt and does sweet FA with it.

@Uboat I was talking about Players going to bigger stadiums to play bigger teams not the fans. Which ever way you look at it being in a higher division is more attractive, otherwise Bolasie might of signed for us instead of Bristol City.
I know, I wasn't being totally serious. If I was a player though, I think I'd prefer an easy life, which is one of the many reasons why I never made it as a footballer.
Look i don't know whether Mr Green is the answer to our prayers or not , sometimes we always think that the grass is greener on the other side , so to speak, he maybe another Scott Wagstaff , who personally i like , but i know a lot of people don't , so maybe those people would be disappointed if we signed him.

Agree - Green seems to be the type of winger that can pick out a cross or pass, which would be ideal as an alternative to Waggy, who is a different type of player.

What Bing said.
I really think we'll see quite a few signings on the 1st July. Maybe 4/5.
Any ideas how much hes worth?
Another fascinating fact about Ulm, I once changed trains there on the way back from Munich.
