It's going to be like watching a snuff movie.

Going to the pub at 4pm. Intend to be smashed by kick-off.

For that reason I suspect I won't give two hoots by 7.45.
  • For completely the wrong reasons I'm a little bit excited.

Watching Charlton has been a chore for the last few months yet despite fearing that tomorrow is going to be an absolute car crash, I am actually eagerly anticpating being there to rubberneck. Sadistic of me I know.

Starting to wonder if this club of ours is sending me doolallly.

i know where you're coming from zinedine, if things go horribly wrong tomorrow night some of the foaming at the mouth will make you feel sane again unless you are completely insane!

Agree as well....I'm going along with zero expectations - if it all goes horribly wrong then its what I'm expecting. Its the only way to retain any semblance of sanity....

    Same old.

Sit down expecting a vast improvement in performance & attitude, we huff and puff for a bit and then make a silly error...0-1.

We then try to impose our 'passing' game on the Saints but the recalled Francis bumps into Dailly and Lambert taps into an empty net...0-2. F & D leave the field, concussed.

We have 1 shot on target all night. And that is by Ben Roberts when he's warming up the goalies.

Concede late goal on the counter...0-3.

Leave throughly peed off, yet again.

If we get ugly and kick them about - could get a draw. Unfortunately, this team has neither the inclination nor the guts to do that, so im seeing a comfortable win for Saints and some very nasty words being directed at anyone in Red at the end.

I've backed the opposition in all the recent games, but this is charlton and it would be no more bizarre than going on a 12 game winning streak and losing to the bottom club at home so I am going for 2-0 home win - call me daft ... I dare you!!!

I am going but I really want to see some imaginative changes in the way we set up and personnel - If I see McCormack in the starting 11 I might just go home before the game starts.

Surely the last thing we need to do. Remember some of Dowie and Reed's line ups? Just left the team unbalanced in some way.

Simple 4-4-2 or 4-5-1 to grind out a result for me.

Trying something different like playing 3 at the back or someone in a completely new position could just make things worse.

Poor review IMHO. Must do better WSS : - )

I'm so p****** off that I'm thinking how early I should leave. I never leave early and the game hasn't even started but I'm thinking how I can get out early. Not as if there is even going to be a big crowd to delay me.

2-0 to us. Not much reason to be confident, but for some reason I am. Bessone back. Home debut for Parrot. Maybe a new fired up Ethrington. We've got to win sometime, let's do it tomorrow. Up the Addicks.

Would have missed the Boxing Day game as Xmas is a busy time for me family wise, and was a tad gutted that i would miss it. Good crowd, good atmosphere and one of the better teams in this pony league. How things change, now i could possibly get to the game if i rush around headless and go straight from work----------no chance. Im puting in nill effort and will look up the final score sometime around 10 PM.

final score CAFC 1 v Saints 4 we go one nil up.

Sorry for those that will make the effortto go but they will be laughing at us at final whistle.

If i was a Charlton player right now i'd be pumped up for this soo bad , if we could pick a time to change our fortunes than surely it would be the best time tommorow , and prove to the fans and the manager that theyre not a bunch of fluffy tailed ponys ,

TOMMOROW OUR FORTUNES WILL CHANGE ( just trying to add a bit of positivity to myself we obv wont win )
  • The goal diffference between us and Soton is 35.

By this time tomorrow night, it will probably be closer to 40.

But we are Charlton and so whatever the score, we will still be cheering our club. Won't we?

Not the time to be turning fickle, when our support is most needed.

Southampton will want it more. 4-1 to them.
  • Can't see past Southampton for this one, anything from the game would be great.

because we have nothing to lose tomorrow (apart from a game), I feel more confident of getting a result in our current situation than I would have done if this had been a big promotion six-pointer.
Anyway, reality will prevail unfortunately. 1-3 to Soton.
  • [cite]Posted By: Stig[/cite] Maybe a new fired up Ethrington.

    who's ethrington?

Good question. Either or we've signed a midfielder from Stoke or I'm going completely mad. Place your bets now.

(for the record I meant Eccleston but had a complete Robby Bobson moment)
