He started his training at 3 months old, when started his puppy training class. He has since passed his Puppy training, levels one & two 'Good Citizen' awards which are six week courses and tonight he completed his Level three course all three completed with a 100% pass mark. Now at at 16 months old he has had 3 weeks off from training since he came home .In september he moves on to an advanced training course, from there possibly Agility, maybe Working dog trials at 'Chateau RedMidland ' or even Schutzhund in germany who knows.
On a positive note, some on here may know we show Bailey at dog shows and he is quite successful. We attended a local show at Shrewsbury park where some of the neighbours were there to watch him. With only one class Bailey was permitted to enter it was over pretty quickly so we went to say hi to some of the children of the nieghbours, when the next class was called 'under 10 childrens class' asking the parents of young Niall if all was ok. Niall agreed to handle Bailey in the show ring! now for obvious reasons I was in the arena with them but young Niall at 7 years old led Bailey to heel around the arena before asking him to sit and lay down which he did to perfection. That to us is worth more than any rosette or trophy won or to be won to see the smile on that boys face when it over. All the hard work and hours of training we put in rewarded by just being a well behaved dog. Just to add Bailey weighs just over 6st twice what Niall does.
Uboat................I train Bailey by Shootershill nick every day, I do not allow Bailey to jump up when approached please feel free to bring your son over to meet him, while you have every right to expect to your son to be able play without a dog jumping up and actively encourage when asked along with their parents if they may approach, we are not all the same so please dont make that assumption.
Say hi to Bailey's new handler.............................sacked again ; )
Looking good T.C.E......good luck at the show tomorrow...we're putting our dogs into the Ged Walker Memorial G.S.D show.....even got to take 1 in myself.....thats screwed their chances then!!! 5 of the pups we bred (now 14 weeks old) are also going with their owners...should be fun!!
Tango, is he/she a big dog? He/she looks to have the body shape and colouring of a 'Rotti' and the face of a Jack Russell.
Great dog just the same.
Cheers Red, we have pulled Bailey out of his next 8 shows which will probably be his lot for this year. Which from his point of view was a complete success with 5 firsts, a Best in show, 3 seconds and 4th
As you know Mrs TCE is not a well Lady and after this quickly arranged holiday she will have an operation, so that will cut the travelling down for a while : (
4 of the pups we bred from our 'C' litter all went to their very first dog show yesterday, me and Mrs RM took our 2 pups and our 2 experienced adult dogs. The other 2 pups went with their new owners....our kennel (Anchaz GSD's) had a really good day with the following results. Our 2 adult dogs-: Lexi - Anchaz Baretta - won Best in Show Jed - Arkashan Fanto at Anchaz - was Reserve Best in Show
The puppies results-: Brodie - Anchaz Charisma - Won Best puppy in The Memorial Class out of 20 and also got 4th in Minor puppy Cinna - Anchaz Cinna - was 2nd in Minor puppy Esta - Anchaz Countach - was 5th in Minor puppy but won The Junior Handling event. Cara - Anchaz CoCo - came along just for socialisation and was not entered in any classes.
Picture below for those interested....from L to R...Cinna, Brodie, Esta and Cara
Lucky for you, there were no Tramella's in town. ; ) Lol
Yes mate I had to take Jed in for the 'run-off' with Mrs RM taking Lexi in.....hence she won and I lost as I dont do the showing normally....but she coudnt take both in.......judge wanted to give the Best In Show to Jed, but I let him down....however we still got reserve and beat the other entries so were happy all round!! Oh and Tramella......yeah whatever!! :-) LOL
Well we lasted a month?..... full of good intentions, and time to get over our loss, and thought we would hold till Christmas.
I was very tempted by the great dogs on here, and thought of a change of breed as our lad is/was going to be a hard act to follow, but thought we would contact the Westie refuge centre.......
As last time it took about three months. Contacted Battersea, who referred us to the refuge centre. One phone call and an email we get an invitation to see a 2 year old, Harry.
Of course we thought we would just look, think about it, and come to a considered opinion....... An hour later we are back at home with the little scamp, and we have our 'lad' again. Apparently kept out in the garden all day, because they could not cope with the dog, and a new baby!. He literally has not left our sides. Great little fellow.

Oh well the Alsatian's will have till wait
Well done Ken.....rescuing any type of dog is better than the alternative for the little fellow....hope you have many many years of fun with Harry!!

Lol, fortunately I've never had to shown Bailey gaiting!
I seen it being done and I cant imagine me doing that without going over. ; )
But well done again.
Well done Ken on getting Harry and as said where's the pictures ; )
I will post the new ones shortly......of 'Harry' We took him to Greenwich market/park on Saturday which was Dylan's favourite park......
We have been very lucky with Harry, although he is a little scamp at times, already dived in the duck pond a couple of weeks ago, came up looking like a drowned brown rat?
Charltonlife's very own Brian Moore in a run off in the finals at a German Shepherd Rally on sunday, I had to give him a head start as he's in his 80s now. ; )
After losing Lexie to bloat in january we have now added to the household little Beau, a 14 week GSD.
Beau is stunning, Where did come from mate, he looks like an Anchaz puppy? If your local bring over to say hi to Bailey, let him have a play and socialise.

As far as breed goes, her mother was a long/wirey haired terrier and like on most council estates (regarding dogs or people), Father unknown. :-)
Our 2 adult dogs-:
Lexi - Anchaz Baretta - won Best in Show
