I was really looking forward to watching the sky sports programme on tuesday night "Schole , the goals" . Recorded it and sat down to it last night but oh no once again sky have to ruin it by showing most of the goals shot from stupid views rather than how you would have watched it originally .
Scholes was an immense player and the England management should've constantly begged him to change his mind over retiring , far better player than Lampard or Gerrard

Is this the same Scholes who didn't score a single goal in the last 3 years of his international career, who's sole job in the England team was to create and score goals? The same Scholes who cost us one of the goals against Brazil in Japan?
Great player, but didn't do it for England for a long time before he eventually retired, and another one of Fergies boys who was always injured around the time of international friendlies, just like Giggs who managed to play virtually every competitive game for Wales, but was "injured" to the extent he didn't play a friendly in 5 years.

Mmmm.......who told you Scholes sole job was to create and score goals?

Erm, what else would his job be? He can't tackle properly, he doesn't (or didn't for England) track back, and England have never played a Barcelona type possession game, so his job wasn't merely to hold on to possession. He was picked to create and score, that was his job, and a job he singularly failed at for 3 years.
If he was played out of position then that just makes his selection even more wrong, though England Manager after England manager seemed to want to fill the left mid role with a right-footed central midfielder and then wondered why it didn't work.
Quite like Scholes, and it's good to see him supporting 'his' team. As good a player as he was mind you surely he could have practiced/learnt how to tackle safely if he really was naturally that bad at it!
Very true. Fabulous player and alwasy kept himself out of the headlines for any off the field nonsense so not really doing himself any favours with some of the more recent stuff.
Scholes was desperately average when he came on. Screwed up for Citeh's second as well. Ferguson can be an absolute wanker - what is the point of getting a bloke out of retirement instead of spending some of the Glazers' money on someone halfway decent to improve the squad? I hate him with a passion that surprises me. Sooner or later he'll make a boneheaded decision like this that will nail him - though I guess after winning everything there is to win over the past 15 years he'll have the last laugh.

they showed scholesy wrapped up watching the game at a very wet oldham
fairplay to him making the effort and not taking the easy option and sitting at home and watching the game on the box
2-0 to oldham v the mk dons as well
Yes he is B.
Ferdinand is past it.
Smalling is clumbsy and like a donkey (Llera)
Jones is awful.
Evra is on a downward slope.
Agree about Ferdinand though, he has aged about 10 years in the last season.
