It's just come over as black as the ace of spades here in New Eltham - looks like a big storm is about to hit!

    Aw, it's brightened up here now. Loads of thunder rumbling around in the distance but no storm - and I love watching a nice electrical storm!

    Born in England, makes you English no mater what back ground you are from.  You are however a British citizen by the same rights.  Meaning we are (if born in England) both English and a British citizen. Same rules apply to rest of the British isle.  

    In short make your chose and eat your cake which ever way you like it.

    Yep I will give you that however when you approach Wales or Scotland it says "Welcome to..." indicating I am entering another country which means I am leaving England.

    Most of Europe is a land mass but try telling the French they are German.

    Dont get me wrong I am not a skin head thug who belongs to the BNP covered in swastikas but I do consider myself English and not British.

    You had the 'choice' not to have one. Might not be a great choice but you did have a say in the matter.

    I wouldn't tell a Frenchman that he was German, but I would tell him he was a European (as well as being a Frenchman). 
    Unless he is from Alsace and then you have a difficult "choice" ;)
