Francis said he was at training today on twitter...so it appears the deal won't happen for a while.

What was Francis's avergae score in the statbank last season?

Can't find the end of season one
  • Apparently Bournemouth have doubled their offer according to 'Hot off the press' Rich Cawley, could be just time before he's off , if we're haggling for a fee.

Fee is seemingly agreed according to Twitter:

@ohecperrett: #afcb hoping to thrash out personal terms with #cafc defender Simon Francis after the two clubs agreed a fee.

Means we'll be needing a replacement

And it doesn't look like it being Craig Alcock

    Song for Simon Francis :-

"Keep The Car Running" - Arcade Fire     :-)

Every night my dream's the same
Same old city with a different name
Men are coming to take me away
    I don't know why, but I know I can't stay

    There's a weight that's pressing down
Late at night you can hear the sound
Even the noise you make when you sleep
Can't swim across a river so deep
They know my name cause I told it to them
But they don't know where and they don't know
When it's coming, when it's coming

    There's a fear I keep so deep
Knew its name since before I could speak
    Aaaaah Aaaaah Aaaaah Aaaaah
They know my name cause I told it to them
But they don't know where and they don't know
When its coming, oh when but its coming

    Keep the car running

If some night I don't come home
Please don't think I've left you alone
The same place animals go when they die
You can't climb across a mountain so high
The same city where I go when I sleep
You can't swim across a river so deep
They know my name cause I told it to them
    But they don't know where
    And they don't know
When it's coming, oh when is it coming?

    Keep the car running
    Keep the car running
    Keep the car running

how much are we paying them to get rid of him? can't believe that some people on here thought he was decent last season, he couldn't defend, couldn't cross, was always out of position and had the worst first touch maybe i've seen from a charlton player.

I don't think anyone thought he was decent, I just don't think he was anywhere near as bad as you're describing.

Let's hope his replacement is better.

I thought he was decent at times and the evidence of you tube shows that he could cross, not the best player to ever put on a charlton shirt, but not as bad as some have said.

Still will be interesting to see who the boo boy baton will be passed to now

People aren't saying he was decent last season but more that they could see there was a good player in there somewhere. I suppose if you watch the games the same way as you read the comments you are unlikely to see nuances and potential in a player.

he had the potential to be crap and fulfilled it admireably

    You spelt "admirably" wrong, Large.

    I'm sure Henry will agree.

Let's be honest, he has been one of the worst players in aCharlton team which recorded one of their lowest finishes ever. We won't miss him and there's plenty of options available either on loan or on free who couldn't do much worse.

I have nothing against the guy though and hope it works out well for him at Bournemouth

Can anyone find the end of season statbank and see what his average score was? I've searched but I can't find it

Emm - not sure what that means so I put it through Google Translate and got "

Shite is what I worried for you lot in His Head best player on a football pitch yes never good ridance badly rubbish Bought" - which is much clearer...

Must surely have a replacement lined up, even with faith in Solly. I expect him to do quite well for Bournemouth; after all he's done it before in this div, away from the pressure brought on by a shaky start that some refused to look beyond during a more generally disappointing time. Some poor errors but  like Llera, he never hid, and has enough ability to succeed elsewhere.

Bournemouth seem to be going for Southend rejects - Flahavan, Barrett and now Francis.

Dont think we will have to worry about them this season.
