Swervedriver are the ultimate band to listen to whilst driving. Mostly because the guitars often sound like travel. The song names reflect this too: Song of Mustang Ford, Girl on a Motorbike, Duel, Planes over the skyline etc.
My favourite however must be Sunset
If you're feeling dangerous though, you could listen to 'Pile Up'

Chris Rea wrote 'Driving Home for Christmas' about going back to Middlesborough.
He also wrote 'The Road to Hell'
Conceptually they are the same song.
