There are 500+ in the electricians march heading towards Blackfriars #Nov9 #9nov

  • Saw about 150 of the electricians at 9am by cannon st. Peaceful marching with banners and a fair few police.

Police swarming now around Bank junction area, though I don't think any protest is close to it
  • We are at blackfriars now. well over 1000 now. No arrests and all peaceful so far

Just in case anyone was interested. over 400 of us today marched to King Cross station Site. Met by large amount of police. picketed the site entrance. Blocked off a couple roads and took over the concourse for over an hour. There were lots of unhappy suits. How can people still be making their way to work at 9:10?
    Because some of us don't finish at 4pm - THAT'S WHY .................
  • The sparks have been kettled on Blackfriars Bridge to prevent joining up with the students.

  • I would love to finish at 4.

I was in the blackfriars kettle. we forced our way out and are now in a pub trying to figure out how to get back to the protest at Westminster
  • In the pub by 3? Some things never change ;-)
  • Two copters above near my office now, students have entered London Wall.

  • Probably about 300 police around Bank Junction now.

This is all gonna go one way when it starts getting dark

  • Harry Hill is warming up
  • Fantastic, I'm working on London Wall! There's about 4 helicopters above us, probably more media than police like the riots were.
  • I must say. the beer in the old bell on fleet street is Fantastic
  • Apologies for scaring your friend curb it. There seem to be alot of ideological far far far left twats in this movement who seem intent on nodding about with the police and really buggered up the whole poxy day. Socialists ideological principles. tossers

And they're all be safely tucked up in bed tonight at Mummy and Daddies in Blackheath, Hampstead and Richmond etc...
  • Actually, you are quite wrong. That lot are with the students. We had proper socialist sparks. Even had a brief airing of the effin red flag from them. Didn't even get to parliament. Very disappointed
  • Covered on Radio 4 in their 5PM news programme, including a few interviews with protestors.
  • I saw the student protest going past Charing Cross earlier.

One of them was holding up a placard saying "Burn don't cut" and another had "RIP - Life".  Absolute f*ckwits.
  • Thought you'd have been there yourself BFR? Or did you have a detention tonight........?   ;-)
  • The result of the Balfour Beatty ballot was announced today.

81% in favour of Strike action.

First day of strike is 7th December

NG Bailey and Crown House are to be balloted next

If the B is for Bernard then I reckon it's the same.
  • I know a few people who are on the blacklist. He got his file from the commission and he was on there for refusing to work in an asbestos room, working live and also complaining about facilities.
It also has the details of every job he has been turned down for because of being on the list. Shocking stuff.

  • Apologies to anyone caught up in the traffic surrounding the west end this evening. Park Lane was only shut for two hours
