  • Roland on the Ropes has a wonderful ring to it! Classic old game on the Amstrad Cpc. I was a Spectrum person but I always enjoyed it on my mates Cpc, I reckon it should get a Charlton themed reissue if certain events come to pass!
  • Loved the original broken sword

The sequels were all good or ok but the original was the nuts.
Still got it somewhere. Keep meaning to dig out the laptop and start over.
  • Sensi on the Amiga. Lazio with a 532 formation Gascoigne just behind Signori & Boksic beautiful!!
  • Haven't read all 6 pages so don't know if it's been mentioned, but Brian Lara Cricket on the PlayStation was a stormer.
  • Herzog Zwei.

    Close the thread please

    The 7th Guest

    The 11th Hour

    Two brilliant puzzle video games

Just read that there may finally be a 3rd in the series ...The 13th Doll
Yep The 13th Doll was setup on Kickstarter in 2015 as a fan made sequel (threequel?) to The 7th Guest. I backed the project as I loved the original game as a kid.

The release has been heavily delayed but apparently is still progressing and aims to be out in October / November (2 years later than originally stated).

  • Pit Stop 2
    Commando
    QBert
  • There was a game on the Amiga called Hunter. It was the first open world game I'd ever seen, it was an incredible step forward. https://youtu.be/A3KNeckjgfs

    Otherwise, for me -
International Soccer / Emlyn Hughes / Kick Off / Sensible Soccer / ISS
    Wizards of Wor
    Gumshoe
    Henry's House
    Bubble Bobble
    Stunt Car Racer
    Monkey Island(s)
    North Vs South
    Super Cars 2
    Bomberman
    Lemmings
    Batman
    Another World
  • And Battle of Britain. Amazing game.
  • Just remembered a game on PS1 - N2O. Blast 'em up through winding subterranean tunnels with a brilliant soundtrack from techo stalwarts Crystal Method. I'd come off a session feeling a bit dizzy yet pumped.

Syberia 3 is just about to be released. Was (and still am) an adventure game fan and the Siberia games were one of my favourites.

Also Tenchu: Stealth Assassins on the PS1 was great in its day.

Definitely a football first bloke, eh?

    My personal choices:

    PC:
-Baldur's Gate 2 (Greatest RPG of all time, closely followed by...)
    -Fallout 1 & 2
    -Secret of Monkey Island
    -Half Life
    -Deus Ex
    -Starcraft
    -Civilization II
    -Rome: Total War
    -System Shock 2
    -Sim City 2000

    Console:
    -Final Fantasy VII
    -Super Mario World
    -Super Mario Bros. 3
    -Super Mario 64
-Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (probably the best game ever made, imo)
-Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
    -Golden Eye 007
    -Halo
    -Chrono Trigger
    -Street Fighter II Turbo

Definitive list right there, end of.  Sports games are a good laugh but none of them come close to the immersion and quality of the above.  On second thought, honorable mention goes to Sensible Soccer!  Now where did I put my Amiga?

I recently read the first two Halo novels The Fall of Reach and The Flood. Loved them (especially the first one) and became interested in the whole Halo universe. Haven't got around to playing the game though.

I can't say I'm a big fan of computer games but I do play a bit and watch gameplay videos. I've probably spent more time watching the videos than actually playing. Favorite ones include CoD, Battlefield, WoW, The Last of Us. Also like GTA, Gears of War, and FM. I'm considering having a go at Dark Souls which looks like to have become one of the most popular games recently.
