I know there are other threads on this transfer, but now it's confirmed, I think people need to give him a chance.

Welcome Leon.

Good luck. You'll need it. Once you've scored 7-8 and you have a dry spell you'll be shit and the hordes will be clamouring for you to be sold.

Good acquisition in my book and if anyone at this level can get the best out of him it is SCP. All the best Leon and may you play an important role in getting us back to the promised land.
  • Think it's a good buy myself, could well be the guy we want coming off the bench in a close game. You are very welcome Leon!

Happy with this signing. Has shown he can score at this level with chesterfield. Should get more chances with the supply from our midfield.

Despite some people having a panic over BWP's dry spell, no need to change front line as the moment though.
Adds a nice bit of competition, and if he does dis-lodge one of the existing forwards then he's doing something positive......................

I'm sure he is, I believe as long as it is signed/sealed prior to around 5pm the day before a match

Happy - welcome aboard Leon. As mobile big target men go, he's the best i've seen play against us this season.

Hasn't played since Dec 10 - could be a great impact sub with Brentford legs tiring, BWP only played 60 mins so will be OK for tomorrow - Kerm might be knackered though, but try and get 60 mins out of him also

Can't complain. Gives us a better option coming off the bench or possibly even starting. 4th top scorer in the league.

    Welcome and good luck

Yep, but being a bank holiday the office is shut consequently he can't be registered. Maybe if he signs as a loanee first in  adeal made permanent?

So he had an average match - the fact that he dipped below his high standards is worth commenting on.

Still the transfer window has opened - where is the influx of players that Mandaric claimed would be joining SW?

hopefully the FL have a skeleton staff working today earning some double bubble!
  • Surely with fax and e mail the FA only need to ensure the dated and timed fax / e mail was received in good time ? Why do they need a knob in a suit to be available ?

Does that mean Hamer's ban is for the cup game? That's brilliant if so.

I wonder what Hayes is thinking ?

Hayes will know that if Powell thinks he is the best for his position, then he will play.
But anyway, Hayes is a different type of forward than Clarke; the competition for places is on the bench rather than on the pitch.

IMO it's Jason Euell who will drop down the pecking order with Clarke's arrival.

Trust the little owl to pipe up after they've cut down our lead to 5 points.
