didn't hear any boos but was a bit pissed off about the whole sub to be honest. pointless in making that change at that point

Give the guy a break, ok he hasn't been great but its hardly encouraging for him to be booed as he comes on. Why do our fans always have to have someones back to get on. A guy behind me tonight spent the whole came shouting your sh*t every time Danny Green touched the ball, I don't understand why they make the effort to come and then spend the whole game spouting venom at their own players.

It wasn't booing, it was more of a sigh.

with a shake of the head and a muttered "why".

Booing a player, who has made about five appearances for us, before he comes on is to be expected?
Just about sums some of our fans up......
I assumed the booing was coming from the CU fans.

Ridiculous booing him if true, how long has he been here 5 games?

See Benson scored again last night though....

North Lower there were a few groans but no boos, and I think much of it being due to JJ being removed ( presumably as a precaution?)
  • bit pointless Powell bringing in him on in the 85th minute or whatever-can hardly show the fans what, if anything, he can do in five mins plus injury time

I heard the soft sound of eyeprows being raised when Clarke came on but nothing really worthy of any comment or headlines thankfully.

Unlike deluded Wendies, in contrast Addicks can be a miserable bunch and I am going to make a massive sweeping generalisation by saying those between 55-65 that have seen it all seem to be particularly effective in forgetting where we are and where we were last year with regards to a substitution they disagree with or a misplaced pass.

The "I dont rate Solly" bloke behind me at Fulham and the "Worst performance in 30 years" bloke behind me last night (and he was being serious) sum them up perfectly, we should embrace them and prey to Christendom that there opinions are neither contagious or ever ever taken the slightest bit seriously.

Sorry to be ageist, I will be joining the 55/65 bracket in a decade or so and will look forward to slagging Powell off when we finish top 8 and saying "hes taken us as far as he can go"......ok so I got carried away with the last bit

    Didnt hear a single boo.
I did, loud and clear albeit brief.

Not sure if it was against Clarke or for Jackson being taken off but booing there was. Didn't hear any at the end which was good

Same as, sure it was for Clarke..........planks! Give the guy a chance

Age 54, just miss the dreaded 55-65 age bracket! Can't form an opinion as yet regarding Clarke because I haven't seen that much of him playing. Obviously SCP saw something there and signed him. Think we need to give the guy a few games before we (young and old) can form an opinion. But we are Charlton and we NEED a whipping boy ;-)

I sit in the Upper West and definitely heard the boos, which appeared to come from the North Stand. I was disgusted by this. How demoralising for Leon to hear that as soon as he comes on. He needs support not boos. Colchester players would have been delighted to hear that.

Neither does Green. Nor much else recently. One or two decent crosses a game at most...

Poor Danny Green. People were so happy when we signed him, everone lost their minds. Called him our 'marquee signing'. Of course we were told by Daggers fans that he blows hot and cold like any winger, especially at this level, but we were still delighted. Then he got that long range effort in in a friendly and no-one could wait to see Danny Green. I assume they were expecting a 30 yard volley a game and 99 out of 100 pinpoint crosses fired in after magically leaving a full back in a puddle.

Come on guys, he's not the best player in the world but we're in League One. We bought him from Dagenham & Redbridge. He's won us some important games and he's been decent, if not quite as good as we'd hoped. The need for a scapegoat was frustrating but at least it made sense last season. Green plays in a team 13 points clear at the top and yet he apparently offers nothing going forward or defensively. If he really offered nothing to our team you'd better believe we wouldn't be breaking records left right and centre. We're doing well, we don't need to pick on our players. Or at least go back to blaming Alex Dyer, he probably doesn't care about that
