Very disappointed, but I guess he is only a footballer in the end, not a Spanish diplomat. I too hope he becomes a regular for them. A good example of why SCP is a far better manager than Mugson.

Perhaps, when you join Sheff W you go through some sort of brainwashing.
The vast majority seem to be deluded. Fans, manager, players.

In reality, none of them can accept that they are not good enough & we are.
  • Let's face it at the time he was the best we could get.

Now we're in a position to afford a lot better.

If he believes he is better than any of our three matchday centre halfs he is either deluded or blind.

    Long may our luckiness continue.

"no injuries this season" What happened then did Jackson & Stephens go on holiday together?

He has done himself no favours at all there with that article.

He was trying to ingratiate himself with the Wendies fans and Mugson. If he plays regularly and is as unreliable as he was for us, then all his arselickin won't stop them turning on him.

I suppose giving an interview to The Yorkshire Post, he's possibly assuming it's only Yorkies that will be reading it.

Possibly forgets about the power of t'net.

Maybe he should look at mimself. MK didn't want him, we didn't want him, Blackpool didn't want him. Theres a theme here.

You would have thought he would have twigged that with that Plusnet northerner on the telly all the time!

he's wrong with several comments but not much more so than most managers in every post-match interview
come off it. That is one of the worst interviews I've seen in some time. Even that incompetent prat Megson managed to come out with more sense than that post-match.

I thought it was a cracking article, well thought out and spoken from the heart......
    He's a burk. The end.

PS Keep laughing at turning circle of an oil tanker - well said.

A clumsy sour silly man, trying to win over some fans by gunning down the team who gave him his chance.

A decent left peg but Miquel, Blackpool saw it straight away, and we eventually saw it, but your pretty shocking.

Keep your opinion about us to yourself and enjoy the bench in the empty factory town.
  • I like the bit where Llera is trying to explain why he only played once for Blackpool.
Think of the most obvious reason Miguel and you've probably got it.

Llera and Megson deserve each other.

  • Old player gets abuse from our fans on Saturday and comes up with some negative comments about us in the press afterwards...shocker! We would probably all do the same. Don't really see that he said much too bad to be honest, he is not going to say...Charlton are so much better than everyone we won't catch them etc...he doesn't play for us anymore.

Thought he was a decent bloke and that article doesn't change that, but never htought he was any good at footy so glad he is gone

Some real classics in there. "I dont understand why they didnt offer me a new contract" - easily answered, you are useless carthorse.

"They havent had any injuries" - Jackson and Stephens were both dropped then?

"They have one chance a game and score" - tell that to Preston, Carslisle, Hartlepool, Halifax, Bournemouth, Huddersfield etc etc.

    Utter clown.

What is it about Sheffield Wednesday that makes everybody near the club a deluded arsehole? He actually sounds like one of their bitter fans.

Why wouldnt he say that? It's probably true. Even his manager acknowledged it!

    This.

No point us getting agitated. Put it into context.

Llera is being interviewed by a Yorkshire Post reporter, their local paper.
They only preach to the converted.

He's answering specific questions posed by the reporter - and telling Wednesday fans what they want to hear.

Not meant for our eyes at all.

Oggy you should become a Vicar.

He's basically lying tho isnt he, no matter who the audience is, he's talking complete pony.

Infact he's actually become so good at lying, he's even convinced himself he's a half decent footballer.

Haven't got a problem with anything he said. Don't agree with it but he is a Wednesday player and is trying to big his team up. He is not talking to us but to his own fans but I'm sure he want sto prove to us that we were wrong to let him go - I think we have been proven right but would be disapointing if he had any other attitude towards it.

There's certain players that you see warming up on the touchline about to come on as a sub and it strikes fear of the inevitable eg Clinton Morrison and Jermaine Defoe.

At the other end of the scale there are players you see having their studs checked by the fourth official and you breathe a collective sigh of relief and know the game is won.

Miguel Llera falls strongly into the latter category.

    Love this bit:

Llera said: “It is easy to explain. The chairman didn’t want to pay me for July. My deal started on August 1"

    Well d'uh!!

But Llera's point was ....... even though his contract didn't start officially until August 1st, he'd spent weeks pre-season training with the club, involved with everything - except he wasn't permitted to play friendly games (presumably as the club hadn't yet insured him?).

That meant he'd had no chance to establish himself in the 1st team, as he wasn't 'match fit' - and therefore the matchday squad evolved without him.

He also refers to himself in the third person at one point.
    Lordromford noticed that too.

The bloke gave his all for Charlton and we decided to get rid which is fine as we have improved.

All he is doing is showing loyalty to his current club which is fine.

Big Mig will always get a round of applause from me when he returns to The Valley,

He was not an employee of the club. He was hoping to become one. Why would they pay him? I bet Jason Euell wasn't paid when he was training with us prior to signing a contract.

Maybe a bit of an overreaction on here? Wednesday fans don't like Morro as they feel he didn't put in any effort during their darker days, and when they got angry at him for celebrating in front of them we all laughed at them for being miserable sods. Massive Mig is completely wrong obviously, that's not opinion it's provable fact, and it's a little disappointing as he seemed a good bloke but he's just ingratiating himself with the new fans so let's not get too het up. Semedo said it's nicer living in Sheffield than London when he moved, just like he said SE7 was his home and he never wanted to leave when he played for us. Robbie Keane has supported every team he rolls out for ever since he was a lad, which by now is about five thousand teams. Footballers say things to make the fans like them as it makes their job easier. Everyone chill lest we start sounding like the bitter Wendies
