  • Extended contract, Hmmm, I remember Scotty Parker signing one of those, then Chelsea bought him. Longer contract means worth more money to the club
  • he reminds me a bit of torres of late. maybe chelsea are after him.

Are you for real Karim ? Do you seriously think
the arrests carried out this morning influenced BWP's thoughts on signing for Charlton .

i was making a poor joke. though i do think the word 'good' is a bit of an understatement.

maybe i should put a smiley face with a wink at the end of any future comments.

    wait for it........... *^~)

Strikers/goalscorers all breathe on the same thing, confidence. They do sometimes have bad spells and goal draughts, but at the end if the day BWP is a goal scorer and when in form he, at this level, plays the role very well.
Wayne Rooney was on fire at the start of the season, was a big goal machine for utd, not put too many in the back of the net recently, it happens, don't panic!

BWP is definitely a good player, but one thing I have to say is that he is far far too casual. When he is closing down defenders he seems to just run with his head down not even looking forward, something I have always found strange.
When he gets tackled he moans either to the other players or at the ref when he should be looking to gain posession of the ball again.
It's things like that that show the difference in quality between Kermorgant and BWP.

Like I said I think BWP is a good player, I just find that if you ever criticise him you get people going mental at you. I was talking (not screaming at the pitch like som people do) to my little brother about him being too casual and a guy next to me was clearly quite upset going "he's our top scorer blah blah blah." Obviously that's the case but that doesn't make it any less disappointing to see a player like BWP constantly make errors, he could be a very good Championship player if he changed his attitude a bit.

I think he is a flair player and some people can't appreciate that this can mean he sometimes looks a little casual but the pay off is that things can happen through him that can't through others.

When he tries things that come off and the goals flow everybody is happy but when he has a drought some will scrutinise his style. He is our top scorer and will finish our top scorer for a reason.

good, as his goalscoring declines, paradoxically his all round play improves .. a few more months and he'll be compared with Rooney .. that's Wayne not Mickey
