To be fair Len, Nick Leeson was merely a mid-level offshore trader who cooked the books disastrously and his superiors never found out until it was too late.
Nick Leeson did not have a clue what he was doing and made no money out of his incompetance, save his book and a few speeches. He was just a wannabe trader. Goodwin made loads of money and still has a £300k per year pension for the rest of his life.
