    I'll buy.
He was at school with my younger brother and even 30 years ago he was a bit odd. However he is obviously is totally obsessed with Charlton and I take my hat off to him. He has banged on about this book for years and I didn't believe him, I will when I've got one in my hand.
LOL! And you had a dig at someone else about constantly repeating some lame claim to fame!

Was just about to post that off it. Chirpy must've mentioned he went to school with Ackworth on at least 7 separate threads!

We were all at the same school, as was BexleyDan, I was about 5 years above them. I remember Acworth. I have enjoyed his postings on here and many other MB's. He's odd but he's made a bloody big effort to get this book out. I am going to buy it for that reason. I probably won't even read it as I'm not that bothered in the history of Charlton.
Mentioning I went to the same school as him is relevent. It's not as if I started a thread about it or worse still, set a number of questions about myself, one being: Which nutty CAFC fan went to the same school as me?
It's hardly a claim to fame is it? It's just a fact. Indeed there are worse people on here than JA that went to the same school as me!
Dear old SoundAs.....you tried, you really did try but you just couldn't resist in the end could you?

Chirpy, Did your brother chin Ackworth in a smoke filled toilet for boasting about his football-coaching ability?

No, but Bonnie Langford once had a moment of passion with him across a crowded train platform...

My brother has no interest in football, but he's certainly chinned a few people. We're very different.

One eyed Portaway. Anyone could have picked him out after 60 odd goals. We signed Scott Mcgleish instead when it fell through.

    45 pages? That's more a pamphlet than a book.

    How many pages?
    45 with around 83 photos
So not so much a book as a pamphlet?

*Edit - DRF got there first.

I hope he doesnt have copyright issues. A few of the pictures I have seen look professional and the one of the empty North Stand I've seen printed elsewhere.

He's also run 1000 copies off and is talking about printing another 2000. If you have any influence LB talk him out of that.

He's bonkers but you still wouldnt like to see him loose a fortune on this.

The problem is, people meaning well might buy enough copies from him convincing him to do a second print run. The geezer is definitely not the full ticket - and whilst I've been as guilty as others of taking the piss out of him down the years, I think this is actually pretty serious. If anyone 'knows' him, they might do well to suggest the silliness of printing out another run of his 'book'.
