Hope it works out for him and he makes a few quid.It seems to be a difficult thing to do.I knew a lad who wrote and published a book about twenty odd years ago and I seem to remember it cost him in excess of 4K and to be polite I don't think it ever had a sniff of a Booker prize. When questioned about sales he got a bit evasive and said he was putting it down to experience!

Malcolm Hardy was as 'crazily eccentric' as they come...but he led a good and varied life and tried many things until he found his niche in life.
I'm guessing here, but I suspect he and Akkers are quite similar in many ways.
Haha! Malcolm was unique. Nobody was like Malcolm!

    We will find out!
You're a fan, how many copies of the Charlton Koran are you buying?

Buying this 'book' is a demonstration of devotion to the club and therefore entitles you to leave games at half time.

I'll be buying my copy just to find out which non-leaguers we'll be buying for our Championship assault.

Yes, but don't have it obviously on show. Just have a small section poking out from an inside jacket pocket, so that fellow owners can recognise it and give you a knowing nod.

This book could fast become a collectors item , I wonder if it will win a literary prize?

He cant help himself. Whatever he promises, if he is allowed back on here he will last an hour.

He'll post about 50 threads and 1000 comments in that hour.

The problem is, people meaning well might buy enough copies from him convincing him to do a second print run. The geezer is definitely not the full ticket - and whilst I've been as guilty as others of taking the piss out of him down the years, I think this is actually pretty serious. If anyone 'knows' him, they might do well to suggest the silliness of printing out another run of his 'book'.

I think perhaps he has a clever plan ( as Eccles would have said on the Goon show ) to have a copy of the book under every Restaurant table leg in Town.

It's easy to criticise but very hard to write a book.

Can 45 pages pictures be considered a book? Surely more of a brochure.

If you self publish and pay a printer it is very easy to get a book out there.

Why hang around here when the health of Robin Gibb is being discussed elsewhere?
