Hopefully we'll be behind one of the goals. If we're along that crappy, shallow side bit I probably won't bother going back. Awful stand to try and create an atmosphere.
Couldn't agree more, being sat in those awful seats gave me no desire to go back.

Their return to the top flight after 17 years. Who did they get?

    Utd?, Liverpool?, Arsenal?, Chelsea?

Oh no - little old Charlton. And a 0-4 drubbing :-). I still think it's the biggest away win I've seen.
Was there that day, great game tho if I remember correctly we scored them all by about 35 mins

Interesting thread been running for months on one of my other favorite sites (work safe ones anyway). I guess the motto is, "do not start to build a new 40,000 seat stadium for the Premiership when your team are not good enough to stay up!". Good motto that.

    Great website!

  • Not seen this posted elsewhere but Wolves Chairman was interviewed by 5Live today and explained that they had an experience manager lined up who had agreed to come in after McCarthy but changed his mind a week later - guess Curbs didn't fancy life in the West Midlands on reflection then.

I think it was Steve Bruce
  • 5Live pretty much saying today it was 100% Curbs.

That new stand - it looks like the architects were told to design it with a roof that would keep at least two rows dry in the event of rain.
Well the old roof didn't keep the rain off, in the late 90`s that was one of the stadiums i used to fly birds of prey around for pest control , any birds that the hawk didn't get where dispatched by high powered air rifle , and most of these where in the roof ...... and i wasn't a very good shot !

You should get about 45% off as that is about what is missing from the pitch!

Midweek 2-1 away win 99/00, great days.

We had a good 500 there that night.. :)
Such a quality night. I have photos of that game in the loft somewhere. I think it was the first time we'd won there in around 47 years. Everyone was buzzing during the game and the train home was rocking. Think it was 3 -2 in our favour and I know Rufus and Robbo scored two of our goals.

The photographer was standing up at the time! It can't be legal to see seats from that area, you might as well not bothering going.

My Dad's a Wolves supporter so I know them well. Spot on about Moxey & Morgan thinking they know the game. It wouldn't surprise me if Connor got the job. All their goals against seem to come via their useless left back Ward who gets caught out of position and never attempts to block a cross. We should channel everything down that side in both games.

I wouldn't mind us taking Adlene Guedioura, who is out of favour despite being their best central midfielder.

That new stand will be a home end. They won't get as high an average gate as us next season and I reckon we'll finish higher.
