Typical of the current FA administration. No wonder their own competition has been devalued so much over recent years when they arrange the game for 5.15pm on a Saturday when so many fans throughout the country are making their way home from supporting their own teams. The FA Cup used to be something special and ended the season after the League programme had been completed. So far as the FA are concerned television money is obviously far more important than the everyday football fan and until this mentality changes, the FA Cup will no longer beheld in the esteem that it once used to be.
Can't fathom/believe that the fa cup final is taking place before the end of the season. It was always an event for me when i was younger, in fact the entire competition was. Seeing minnows go on cup runs and knocking out decent opposition. I think it's also a result of so many plastic fans that the competition doesn't mean much anymore. When it was portsmouth vs cardiff people were saying that that years fa cup was terrible because there wasn't one of the top four in the final. Some people...
Total cock up playing the cup final on a league day. Should be showcase game on its own. How it used to be. Not amused and the FA wonder why it's losing it's appeal.
Correct. Should be a Saturday at 3pm. Our games could've been be on Sunday.

would find it typical if they were just pissing off fans of League 1 and 2 as you come to expect it but there id a full PL programme as well. The FA really are a bunch of arses sometimes.
Spot on. Used to be a very big day whoever played in the final.
except when THEY were in it.
Funny that you should say that. I was going to say something along those lines but deleted before I posted.

this for me - Quite easliy could have made League 1 & 2 games on the Sunday. I noticed they have changed the premiership games to Sunday !!
I didn't even know the cup final was on.It used to be a big event in my family when my brother, brother in law and Dad would come over.We would argue, drink, and eat.The women would also be banned from the house. Those were the days, have to say it means nothing to me now.
Due to track maintainence there are no trains to or from Liverpool after 8am, the FA knew this when setting the time of the final. But then what do the FA care about the fans?

what????!!! really???!!! that’s ridiculous! what a bunch of tossers! it makes you wonder if the FA know anything about football. i suspect on Saturday during the match the members will be to busy sitting in their executive boxes discussing how much money they have made and how quickly they are going to squander it, while drinking pink champagne, eating caviar and stuffing prawn sandwiches up each others arses.
It infuriates me when you hear on the tv the presenters/commentators say 'And who thought the magic of the FA cup was dead' for you then to hear a moan (during the semi final/final) about how so many people haven't returned to their corporate seats after half time. It's a joke and Liverpool fans have been fudged.
Used to love watching cup finals and would make a day of it and have been lucky enough to attend 5 of these (first one in 79).
Think the FA have belittled the competition. Why put it a couple of weeks before the league is finished? This was always at the end as the "cherry on top" of the domestic calender and was regarded by the FA as the jewell in their crown. Now they run the most lucrative league in the world, this cup is now pushed aside to make way for the gravy train...................

Now I doubt I'll even bother.
