It would take a lot to put me down than just a little elbow dig on the chin, a pinch to my side or knee in the backside. I think a lot of these fairy footballers should start man'ing up as since the foreign invasion of players there's been a hell of lot play acting going on. Drogba is a fine example!
exactly im not saying what he done was right...but fuck me them city players went down like a sack of spuds...!!!!! Id much rather see what Barton does on a weekly basis over diving....!!!
You'd rather see him assaulting people? Go and watch boxing or cage fighting if that's what you want to see.
Have a look at the footage again. Zamora says something to him with a hand over his mouth slightly then Barton goes back for another go. There's the team mate Barton mentioned in his tweet if you ask me
Need a bit more proof Gray9. Either way I have no idea why Barton sent that particular tweet, assaulting a player is bad enough but to adilmit you did intentionally in full knowledge of what you were doing to have that player "taken" with you either through injury or getting a red themselves for responding to your pre meditated provocation is ridiculous
Not a chance I'm afraid. Kevin Muscat in an interview before the East Anglia derby some years ago said he was going to break James Scowcroft's leg. Then in the game he does break his leg, so a clear cut case of premeditated GBH, and still nothing was done. If I wrote to a local paper saying next time I see a certain person in the street that I was going to assault them, the police would probably get involved at that stage. If somehow they didn't and I then went and assaulted somebody, then I'm pretty sure I would be looking at a fairly long stretch.
Why do people act outraged....it's football....it's been turned into a soap opera the game over the past few years where no one can even fart without it making the back and oft front pages. It's a competitive sport played by blokes full of aggression and adrenalin and there will be handbags from time to time.
I make him right...tevez hit him first so fair enough for him having a pop back. No worse than John Prescott chinning the mulleted peasant who threw the egg at him but dont recall the carnation milk aficinado being labelled scum.
Will everyone be happy when the game is played in front of happy clappy crowds all sat next to each other patting each others backs and having pleasant "banter" whilst rooting for dull footballers with about as much charm and charisma as a pair of Steve Davis's socks.
The game is fast losing its soul with each passing season and the constant "appalled from Tunbridge Wells" and political correctness espoused by the hyporcritical media will turn it into a twee and bland past time on a par with indoor bowls.
Funny how in the light of everything yesterday Franny Lee was there to see his beloved Citeh win the league and was rightly praised and lauded but it didnt dawn on anyone that he and his generation made Barton look like a nun.
You could say that tevez tries to get Barton sent off though Tom. Players will deliberately go out of there way to get a reaction from Barton as they know he has a short fuse

It could be interpreted that way, but from what I can see on the replays, it's not definitive that Tevez was going out of his way to get a reaction.
He might have been....It's just nowhere near as concrete as Barton's actions.
good old barton has been doing this for years. every panto needs a bad guy. it would be a boring world without the likes of these idiots. the man is a fool and i'm going to laugh at the him and not let him outrage or anger me because he gave someone a dead leg like it was on a playground. the more serious attention you give this simpleton the more he will enjoy.
I get Rodneys point and there was a lot of that sort of thing in the sixties and seventies, it's how the game was. It's not now though. Now we've got divers and and players who over react.
If you were a manager of a team playing against a club Barton played for then would you not suggest to a player that he should wind him up a bit? You know what's likely to happen. Not saying it's right, but it's a tactic like it or not.
You can say Bartons a bit of a character and more than a cardboard cut out player but he's had plenty of chances to sort himself out and he hasn't. I reckon if that had been a sunday league game I'd be surprised if he didn't get a life ban. Won't happen with the FA, they've not got the balls, but people like him and Muscat shouldn't be allowed on a pitch. What happened yesterday was entertaining certainly, but when all is said and done, he let his team mates down badly.
The trouble with Barton is he isn't just someone trying to be a bit tasty on the pitch. He's also the kind of bloke you'd meet down the pub who just wants to pick a fight for the sake of it. One day he'll really get his come uppence. Certainly not the same species as me for sure.
Rodney might be cheering if we signed Barton but I would be waiting for him to let us down as he has done his teams and team mates throughout his career. The fact is, if Stoke hadn't got that penalty against Bolton, QPR would have got relegated!
Q.P.R vice chairman said he would support hughes in whatever he decides to do with barton. Surely cant be of much use to them most likely missing the first 9 games next season.

But Barton badly let down his team mates yesterday. They could easily have been relegated.
Dissapointed in Richards and Lescott helping Barton out in all this.
most likely missing the first 9 games next season.
