Though I know from it I must never move to America, or I'd be one of those people they need to take the roof off for and airlift out their house to have their jaw wired shut.
Think it helps Adam Richman is very likeable, or you'd possibly sit there going "Oh my God, you fat git! Errrrrr!"
If anyone is interested, some bloke has started to list UK challenges:
I would love an English version of this although I don't think it would be as good as the places don't seem to be as wacky. Always makes me incredibly hungry even though I know I would never be able to finish any of the challenges.
Me and my girlfriend absolutely love it and are actually planning to visit some of the places in California that are on the show when we go there in the summer!
Apparently he starves himself for 24 hours prior to a challenge and when he's not filming he follows a strict exercise regime!

I really like the show, think he only did 2 seasons anyway due to the health risks. The latest ones he challenges members of the public to complete the challenges

Proud member of the Brick Lane Curry House winners wall (new york city season two). also enjoyed a cheese steak at tony lukes tho I didn't have the guts (literally) to attempt the 5lb challenge.
Man v food nation is also now on uk tv, think its food network or summat. will check. its a fourth season with the twist that adam coaches a local to try the challenge.
Im a fan, some of the sandwiches look fantastic, and the ribs! Dont mind admitting to watching it, its only TV and good value for half an hour, some of the chilli things look a little rough, makes me want to visit Brooklyn and have a slice of pie...
i watch this on HD, when you see his sweat rolling down his cheeks you feel his pain. what a great job though, reckon he would die if he did any more shows though.
The Red Dog Saloon in Hoxton has some eating challenges, here is a guy doing the meter long Philly cheese steak http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6oiFdZdJlsU There is also a hot wing one and a burger one there

He's not even that big bearing in mind how much he can eat.
Without fail, it makes me hungry

I'm far from a socialist but find the whole concept grotesque when there are people dying of starvation on a daily basis around the globe.
It's a TV programme, as in entertainment, that wouldn't make the slightest difference to world hunger.
I suppose you have never had to throw food away that you can't eat.
How do you know if Adam Richman does or dosen't give money to the starving around the world.
It's a TV programme, enjoy it for what it is or don't watch it.
By the way I think it's brilliant.
Personally, I found it a bit nauseating.
But that's just my opinion.
Each to their own - so I'm pleased for you that you thought it brilliant.
Wasn't meant to seem so personal.
But it wasn't my cup of tea.
I watch this with my sons. We love it. Boys TV.
Wife & daughter hate it!
