Admin do feel free to bin if it takes the thread off on an unnecessary tangent.

Masterchef the Professionals tonight is in my village!
The 3 finalists get to be inspired by our very talented 2 Michelin star chef Ahmet Dede at his restaurant and they then cook a meal within the wall garden at Inish Beg, a beautiful estate on the outskirts of the village.
I’m so excited for everyone to see this beautiful part of Ireland and to share Ahmet with you all. He stayed in our cottage during lockdown where he foraged and dreamt up his dishes. He used to feed his pasta to our goats!
    Enjoy!
    Great stuff !

Are we likely to see a certain Lifer popping her head over the garden wall at some point, courtesy of a handily placed ladder ?
  • Season finale cliff hangers should be illegal. The wait has been too long!

    After the Party - C4
Interesting storyline about alleged abuse. Set in New Zealand with a very strong cast.

CRA - Iplayer. Murder investigation set in NW Ireland which captures the atmosphere of the place. A view into another world.

    Landman

The newest cab off the rank from Taylor Sheridan, I dont think I've watched anything of his that I didnt like. Sicario, hell or highwater, wind river, yellowstone, tulsa King, 1883 and 1923 now this. Reaply promising start, hes clearly trusted with a massive budget and dialogue is really smooth and crisp. 1 episode in and think I have another new favourite
Three episodes into this and I like it a lot. Billy Bob is always so watchable.
  • Yes Landman is a superb piece to watch. Billy Bob was brilliant in a very early film called Slingblade and later in Goliath. Taylor Sheridan is certainly on top of his game. Im now about to watch Yellowstone so hope its as good as they say.

Also absolutely unforgettable in the first season of Fargo
  • Billy-bob Thornton is a great acting talent, he carries so many things on his own that he has been in. Really enjoying Landman, Yellowstones latest season has been excellent as well
  • Well I'm very glad I watched Masterchef rather than listen to my Bruv.
I really don't mind who wins this series, all fabulous chefs.

  • This season of Silo is immense
  • Finished watching the Day of the Jackal, really enjoyed it... Didnt end how I expected either which was nice.

Was good apart from Redmayne’s acting which was just as shit as every single thing I have watched him in.
  • Black Doves on Netflix, brilliant.

Slow Horses meets Killing Eve! Superb acting from Ben Wishaw. Slightly less convinced by Keira Knightly. She’s no Jodie Comer.
  • You Bet!

Good old fashioned nostalgic Saturday night TV.
Me the missus and the kids thoroughly enjoyed it.
  • Can't agree on Black Doves, thought it was dreadful - trying way too hard to be quirky. Even Ben Wishaw couldn't save it and what a waste of Sarah Lancashire's talents!

I'm two episodes in and liking it. Agree though that Sarah Lancashire's role is weak.
  • Finished Brawn last night....really enjoyed it a very good watch even for those that aren't big F1 fans.

Recently watched Say Nothing on Disney+, thought it was really good.
It did make me laugh at the end of every episode, there was a disclaimer saying that Gerry Adams says he was never in the PIRA.

  • The ladies at Bitch n Stitch were raving about it.
And also mentioned the disclaimer 🙄🤣🤣
Too raw for me all that tbh…….might be a few years before I can watch it tbh.

I watched half of it to see Holly Willoughby and had to turn it off it's so bad.
Quite frankly I thought that after about 2 minutes (just my opinion).

Loving the ‘Bitch n Stitch’, most such groups are boringly called Knit n Knatter.

Agreed, it was frigging awful. I mean what saddo can name a board game just by it being shaken and tipped out or spends their time licking cacti?
  • Is 'Elona Holmes,' the female Sherlock Holmes any good?

Was easy to ‘watch’ whilst on phone

personally thought the weakest main task was the one that won the 10k as voted by the audience

Decent enough, nothing earth shattering but zips along at a decent pace and has some good lines.
  • Watched the first episode of the new Dexter series on Paramount "Original Sin". Wasn't expecting much, but really enjoyed it. Great cast and the way they have introduced the whole "early years" scenario was great. Well worth a watch.

I've been looking forward to this and the reboot (especially after the last season of the original series was so shite, and the 'final season' was largely a disappointment). The casting in 'Original Sin' looks spot on - Dexter, Laguerta and Masuka look perfect.
  • Recently watched Cross (8 episodes) it was pretty good but kind of dragged on a bit towards the end....but would still recommend it.
