Just looked at getting some Paralympics tickets [from London2012 website] for something in the Olympic Park upto September 4th, only a basketball session came up, tried any date for Olympic Stadium - nothing! Is it really this sold-out??
That's the ting with something that is powered by Ticket Master, they say tickets are available when they ain't. Stange but thats the way it is.
Went to see the womens marathon on the Embankment and went to the area of the Olympic without going in. Also got tickets for Paralympic swimming and the Orbit on the day after the opening ceromony.
Don't know if it's been mentioned yet, but if any of you are on twitter you should follow @2012ticketalert - they have a system that allows them to automatically check the ticket website every second - as soon as any tickets are posted a tweet goes out with a direct link to the ticket page (this is a big reason why tickets are going so quick - they have 50,000+ followers).
I managed to get athletics and velodrome tickets in the original ballot - also managed to get orbit tickets a week ago for the evening after we go to the velodrome. Really looking forward to it.
lots of olympic pass tickets on there. am or pm though (how do they clear people out during the day???) no events in the olympic park though. Some wheelchair basketball available at O2 if anyone fancies that?
just managed to get Olympic Park tickets for Friday 10am - 3pm, thinking of going over on the cable car with my little girl, anyone done it?, any good?, is it easy to get to the park from wherever the cable car drops north of the river?

I've done it mate. It is very good but if you don't like heights you'll be in for a shock as it goes pretty high. You can pay on Oyster and it takes about ten minutes.

anyone get that email last week asking if you want your tickets emailed to you to print at home instead of picking up from a box office? I filled in our details but haven't received anything, not even confirmation email?
Know how you feel Salad, glad I bought these paralympic tickets when all hope was fading fast from trying to buy for the Olympics.
Somehow 1 of the events I had in my basket we didn't get in the email confirmation, so not going to the swimming now which I'm gutted about but at least we're going to the Olympic Park and the Stadium on Saturday night to soak up the atmosphere and cheer on these amazing people.
I've got tickets to the olympic park on the 4th - a bargain at £5! anyone got any advice regards how long it takes to walk to the park from the station, what's the deal when you get it - do you just wander around and find a big screen to watch? i am presuming there will be a nice place for me to sit and have a beer or two, and i won' be restricted to eating in the worlds biggest macdonals. I'm sure this is all on their website, but i prefer it hear it from you lovely people.

You come out of Stratford International with the crowds. Less than 5 min walk through The Westfield shopping centre & you're there.
There's only really 1 big screen (that you've seen on TV), on a grass bank by the river. You usually have to queue up to get in there. That's the only place to sit. Beers are £4.25 (I think) a bottle. Problem is you've drunk one by the time you sit down. You then neck the next one in 20 mins & you have to leave the "grass bank" to find a loo.
It's great to walk round the park to soak up the atmosphere, but there really isn't much to do, unless you want to sit on the bank for hours beerless.
After a couple of hours I would think you'd have had enough.
with park tickets, is there any chance of gaining entry to any of the venues within it, i.e are they ensuring that they are full up, wonder if there's the option of paying extra to get in for instance the stadium if there's empty seats.
